just wonderin if a 2006 350z clutch kit works on a 2007 model?
what’s up everybody, i’m not very much knowledgeable at all with cars & i was looking to purchase a new clutch kit bc my 2007 350z clutch kinda went bad. car doesn’t accelerate unless you rev it to 4000 rpm and even then, it accelerates slowly. so the mechanic i have working on my car recommended me a kit, but the kit model was 2006 & my car is a 2007. i was wondering if i could order the same kit with it still being functional with my vehicle? he kinda tasked me with finding the part and i told him about the issue and he said find one for 2007, but i’m not entirely sure what to look for. i posted some screenshots of the products, the one he recommended is the one that says it doesn’t fit and would like to know if it would suffice? i also attached other screenshots of products i looked up and turns out fits the 2007, but i wanted to see if you guys knew if the components were all the same so that i may replace the clutch system. i also wanted to add, i know one screenshot was considered a performance part and was wondering if i should get that if i was looking to upgrade other car parts for speed because i love this car!! i’ve always wanted to make it faster
the one he recommended
the one i found that fits 2007, but am unsure if it has all the components that come with the first image.
part i stumbled upon that i would get if overall performance would improve because im looking to upgrade other car parts for speed!
cause the handling is amazing! ,
thank you so much for your help, i hope you all are safe!!

The '06 (and before) clutches do not work with the '07-08 HR engine. All different from clutch to slave to transmission.
Cheap clutches are NOT the way to go. When it fails, you'll need to drop the trans again and that always adds up in cost.
Do it right the first time.

This particular unit replaces your dual mass flywheel with a single mass but NOT a lightweight. (I personally hate lightweight flywheels for street.... revving, grinding, uggh)
While you're in there, replace the CSC (concentric slave cylinder) either with a Z Speed Heavy Duty unit or with their CMAK (clutch movement alteration kit). The stock CSC WILL fail eventually. Z1 also offers a similar retrofit kit.
