My Dilemma: 370Z vs. Camaro SS
weight and hp/tq alone wont tell how the cars will perform in straights. another big thing is gearing. gtr is quick in straight in part due to gearing. The challenger's gearing is really low compared to the current z. Dodge had to do it to improve their gas mileage. Im not trying to defend dodge because i wouldn't buy the challenger, but there are things to consider when comparing cars not just weight... Plus American cars have much improved in reliability, just look at jd power ratings...

Wow, I love how the douchebag trolls come out of the wood work.
When you race in SCCA you will understand why my car is still in Stock class.
Talking about being stupid, look in the mirror.
How about you leave this site. You haven't done anything helpful to this site except start flame wars in this topic alone.

Your arrogance and ignorance are truly deafening. You can't deal with facts, so you throw out old, tiresome stereotypes, telling him to go away, or in this case, a pure ignorance about GM's dilemma. For somebody who seems like he's never driven a C6/ZO6, you should not be criticizing what you don't know. Btw, I also race in SCCA, what does being a member of it got to your ignorance about modding w/in the limits of the rules; you seem like a newie in SCCA? The three main reasons why GM is having financial difficulties are their outdated financial-drain called the union, too much reliance on SUVs and truck for revenue instead of having the foresight to invest in econo-compacts like the Japanese, and over-all our economy. Comparing GM's 1990's quality to 2008's is indicative of your lack of knowledge, as much as you comparing a lower-tier Japanese manuf to 2008 GM; very adolescent.

what kind of ftard lists the con of a 370z of being comparativly low on power? did you ever drive a 350z? it will easily ensure you wont make it to your 19th birthday, so dont get your panties in a bunch, learn how to drive a fast car before convincing yourself that monthly payment will make your pen0r bigger.
Talk about inadequacy!
