+1111 As a DE owner though I can say the DE community was welcoming the new Z motor with open arms! Its when the better than thou attitude surface that provoked hate. "Most" HR owners are just hating the 370 so harshly right off the bat...ugly this, piece of crap that, its just funny. I can wait till one of our elite MT drivers on this site gets a hold of the 370z and put down some nice numbers, people will be singing a diff tune then
No regrets here.
I had a choice... Keep my existing car for 6 more months and wait for the 370Z and deal with the "madness" of a first-year car, keep my existing car for a year and a half and let the "370Z madness" die down a bit and get a better deal on a car with most of the bugs worked out, or go for the existing and well-known HR Z.
I got the most fun in the shortest time with the least hassle and cash.
There is always something better coming out next hear. Maybe I'll pick up a 2011 Nismo 370Z and then I'll ask the '09 370Z owners if they have any regrets. LOL.

I am curious, have you seen the 370Z in person? I am one of those who hated the design when it first came out, then started liking it when I saw the videos from Germany. Then when I actually saw one in person at the auto show I was amazed at how it really looked. It actually looked great to me. A big smile came on my face and that is good. The thing is I think both the 350Z and 370Z are great looking cars. But I do think the 370Z is a definite step in the right direction for Nissan. I see a HUGE potential for this car.
Sometimes it seems this forum lives in a vacuum because it seems most everyone else thinks the 370Z is a big improvement over the 350Z
and looks great.

Ok well I just got back from the San Jose auto show where they had the new z and GTR on display.
Pros
I Love the 370's gas pedal, very F1..
The Body looks very muscular and clean
Neat up level interior
Classic Retro elements
Con
The steering wheel compared to the g37 looks low rent
The headlights just dont look right
The Gauge Cluster is too busy
So there you have it I like it overall but I can honestly say that I am a fan of the more future forward (modern) 350 look.

Aw, can't we all just get along?
Everyone has their preferences; I like G35 over the G37, the 2003 Murano over the 2009, the 1st gen Eclipse over that monstrosity Mistubishi has now... etc etc... Does that mean I'm a 'hater'? Or can I just be allowed to have preferences?

Drove the 370, and here are my impressions;
-Synchro-rev was a fun toy, but felt more like Forza Motorsport 2 than driving a real car
-Completely objectively speaking, I must say that i personally do not enjoy the aesthetics of the 370
-Felt faster than when my HR was stock, but slower than my NA build.
-Tries too hard to be a sporty G37 in the same way a Ferrari California tries to be a "performance luxury car."
-Information overload on the dash/I miss good 'ol gauges...
In all my honesty, I would go so far as to say that a new HR with the difference in price between the two compared cars put towards modifications would be an infinitely more enjoyable car and overall experience.
HR +1
