Frankly, if I had passed on my 07 and waited for the 370, i would be PISSED. I love my HR. The 370 is a step backwards as far as looks. I love the hood hump on my 07 and I love the car. I sincerely doubt that the 370 design will be around for very long. Perhaps the next body style will be an improvement, but I will enjoy owning the last generation of classic, beautiful Zs.

Look at it this way. A C6 vette looks way better than a C5, which looks way better than a C4.

I doubt there is anyone on this forum who believes that the 370 looks way better than the 350.

However, if you can get over the looks, good for you. ;-)

 

I love my 07HR!! Got San Marino Blue which ya can't get in the 370 and my price was great! I just don't see why the price went up! Not to say I don't like the 370 just saying I love my 350

 

the question is if you could do it all over again would you still pick the HR or the 370?

 

The 370z fans just cant get over the fact that some people dont care if its a newer model. Even if I did'nt own an HR I'd still buy it and would'nt even consider the 370.

Well I used to have a 2004 350Z for 2 years until 2006. So unless I still had it I wouldn't trade it in for a 370Z. But being Z less now almost 3 years I want back in and would get the 370Z. There are a few 08 out there and could get a good deal, but I would feel like almost like going back to my 04. Plus I like than new Chicane Yellow color the 09 has. I wonder how close it looks in color compare to the Ultra Yellow in 2005?

well first of hand..

The 370z is a beautiful creation, but seating inside it killed my mood..
I love the fact that my 350z made me look so short and that you can see half of my head or sumsort.. But for the 370z u can see all your shoulders, which to me in my opinion kills the Sport Car look.. So yeah.. If you hr owners out there did not notice..

 

No regrets here. I bought my '08 because I knew it was the last year for the Z33 body style that I was already in love with. In hindsight - I made the right choice. I don't hate the 370, it just doesn't grab me like the 350 did/does.

 

a lot of 300zx owners don't like the 350z, they always say how the 300zx was the best one. i have 2 of them at work. they always talk about how their model is the best. it goes for everyone that loves their cars.

same goes for m3's. I'm a M3 fan and I think all the models are great. I love the e30 e36 e46 and e92. i have a friend that used to own the e36 and he thinks that model is the best one even better than the e46 and e92. He probably hasn't even driven any other model but he likes it best because it's his.

so when i saw the new 370z i caught myself hating on it a little bit. but when i saw the side by side pics on here i realized that my car is a beautiful car but not so beautiful when it's next to a 370z. My 350 looks fat and outdated next to it. but i won't let that make me feel insecure because when i drive it i still turn heads. and when i modd it some more it will look better than that car.

On a serious note, I would have loved to have kept my 04.5, and added a 370Z to the collection.

I would just need a 3 Z garage.

 

I was stunned this thread lasted 4 pages before someone brought this up...

The question is flawed anyway because it's people like you that won't ever believe the HR owner when they say they prefer their car over the 370 (well you believe 10% of us anyway).

Which leaves us with answering yes, which is just telling you what you want to hear, to make you feel good about yourself and your older Z that you're going to trade in for the 370z. This rubbish is just going to roll around to all those "haha my 370 will be soooo much faster than your HR" people when we HR guys upgrade to a 3rd or 4th year 370 which will probably have a better engine than the 09s (similar to the original, revup and hr evolution). Grow up and get in touch with reality, everyone who buys a Z will face the fact that a faster Z will out within 2-3 years, do you really think we HR guys thought we'd have the fastest production Z forever and had no idea a new Z was comming? Didn't rumors for the new Z start circulating in 06-07?

This will all come out again when the next evolution of the 3.7 VHR comes out in a few years...

I have an 06 and even I don't have any regrets. I had a bit of regret when the 2007 Zs came out, but that was fixed with a mod or two. Now I have a ton of mods, and if my car's faster than an E46 M3...I think I have nothing to complain about.
