I don't regret my purchase. I love everything about the 370Z but I love the 350Z as well and I couldn't have gotten a 370 for what I paid for the 350.

But, to think that a HR Z is faster than the VHR Z is just plain dumb... Nissan rarely release a car that is slower than the outgoing gen, esp not if it's a sports car and esp. not if it's straight off the back of the final year previous gen (unlike the gap between the Z32 and Z33).

Don't be a HR lover and defend your car to the end of the world, and don't be a 370 lover and think it's all that... be rational!

Yes they have. 300ZX TT vs 2003-2006 350Z, the TT was faster. Only once the HR came out was the 350Z even with the TT. And the new 370z is heavier, and only dynos around 10 more hp and less tq to the wheels, it will not be faster than the 350z nor will it really be slower.

It's all about Physics man. Weight vs power.

Fools?! Why does everyone on this site agree with me then? (In all the other topics discussing this) HEAVIER car vs lighter 350z. 10 more rwhp 370z vs 350z. 5-10 less TQ 370z vs 350z.

Figure it out. The 370z has not produced any faster times than what the 350z has DONE.

C&D took the 370z and weighed it on a scale for a true weight factor and not believe Nissan's numbers which they have known in the past to lie about.

How does a 370z weigh less than the 350z when the numbers show it more even Nissans numbers?!

GTFO of here NOOB.

PS, I like all gens of the Z, I don't just like one. Why would I run a Z club for all gens, and run ZCON if I didn't? Get over yourself.

Then tries to quote the Car and Driver weight as if that alone is the end-all-fact on the 370z weight, yet Nissan's own website (do a competitive comparison with the 08 350Z) has the 370z weighing less than its predecessor.

Nothing more than certain 350z owners trying to make them and their car feel better because the new model is out that clearly outperforms theirs. But again, there's been other BS spouted in this thread already so I'm not surprised at all.

Really? How do you think I got all that info above? Was from other posts on this forum and topics. Because people only pay attention to one topic does not make the 370z weigh less because someoen doesn't do research like others here have.

I like facts, and the fact is the 370z is NOT faster than the 350z HR.

Fact is the 350z is lighter than the 370z

Fact is the 370z makes less TQ than the 350z HR

Fact is the 370z makes only 10 more rwhp than the 350z HR.

question: why are you trying so hard to prove that the 350hr is as fast as the 370z?

Comparing the 370z 1/4 mile mag vs the fastest real world 350z 1/4 is crazy.apple vs oranges? Plenty of cars have run faster times in the real world vs mag test, including the 350z. Im willing to bet that in owner hands the 370 will prove to be the faster car.

Wow all the noobs come out of the wood work.

Tell me this. How can it be faster when:

It weighs more
It makes less TQ than the 350z
It only makes 10 more rwhp than the 350z

It hasn't shown it yet in magazine times, it only showed a faster 0-60 due to the fact of better tires (4.7) 370z vs (4.9) 350Z.

Let's hope it is faster, but per all the specs we show it doesn't look like it's possible.

Yes, fools. Again, you have said nothing new here but the same BS. I guess you can't see the flawed concept in trying to take person owner times at the strip of a car (350z) that's been out for a long time vs magazine article times of the 370z which just came out.

How the hell does Nissan's own numbers show the 370z when I clearly just stated that Nissan's website (nissanusa.com if you couldn't see through your "almight HR" blinders) lists the 370z lower than the 350z. Do a comparison on the site. Secondly, you try to quote Car and Driver's finding as if it's biblical fact. This reminds me of the days with the Z32TT when people were trying to spout it weighed 3600 lbs because certain articles wrote it while others had it just over 3400 and others had it just around 3500.

So drop the noob drivel as you aren't doing anything to prove your argument. And no, "everyone" doesn't agree with you as if you're some prophet.. Get over yourself indeed.....

Looks to me you are the fool since everyone is pointing at you.

AGAIN, so what if it's magazine times vs real owners. The magazines are professional drivers aren't they?! So far that is what we have to go on, and we are trying to stay with the topic. The 350Z HR came out and produce low times as well in the magazines.

I am done with you. It is pretty obvious you have done 0 research on the weight of the two cars.

The Z32 is a pig. I know owners of the Z32 will actually admit that.

Only the desperate and the foolish will try to take magazine times for one car and use real owners times for another. It's clear others (guess that once again knocks out your "everyone" argument) see the flaw in this comparison but you're hell bent on using it to make the HR look better.

Your so called "research" involves nothing more quoting a Car and Driver article. Sorry, that's not research, it's just quoting. I can quote the article too. I can also quote Nissan's website which lists the 370z's weight lower than the 08 350z. The whole point of me talking about the Z32 is that multiple articles listed different weights.

If you're "done" then so be it. You weren't bringing anything new to the table anyway except the same flawed logic.

The way my 'O4 Touring Coupe's behaving, I ain't EVER getting rid of her! Don't get me wrong, I love the 370; BUT, with 19k on her, a FLAWLESS AT, NO feathering, NO oil-consumption issues...I think it would be nonsensical to get a new/different car. Its non-rev-up engine purrs b-e-a-u-t-i-f-u-l-l-y; its exhaust note is music to my ears; I'm getting two weeks out of a tankful...There's just too many good things about her, and, with just 2½ years left on her note, I'm keepin' it!!!
