If he has UPREV he does not need the new ecu.

That's why I said "either way"... there were two options presented, both require either Uprev or a dealer reprogram for NATS

Right but the point of his question was to avoid UPREV

I cannot for the love of God align my steering wheel properly because it won't lock. It's to the point where I can completely remove the wheel in about 5 seconds because i've done this about 1000 times lol

Will this method only work with 06 and up? I have an 05 base I'd love to try it on.

Come on, man. Dont just skip to the last page. My Z is a 2005 base and it now has cruise control. Yes, it will work.

P.S. Take your own advice man, don't be a douche bag. I didn't have time to sift threw all the posts when I posted that.

And that's exactly why we have the same things posted and asked over and over around here. Wait to ask your question until after you've made time to read this thread. Simple as that.

For those of you who installed the steering wheel controls on both sides, would you please post up a picture? My left panel doesn't sit flush with the airbag, so I tried fiddling around with it but..no success

My OCD with my Z is driving me nuts

Here's what i'm talking about

I had a similar situation. Did my best by losening all the screws and shifting around but could not get them symmetric.

Looks like we're screwed! Does it bother you much, or not really?

I've tried adjusting it, but hmm..there's gotta be a way to close that gap somehow

Having my z of 2 years now I've come to terms with their garbage interiors. I pretty much see my car as a really fun to drive tub that is still street legal. Wife hates it but when you have a pretty no compromise approac to chassis and suspension mods no regular driver will like it.

That's an interesting approach. This is going to sound sad, but my last car was a Hyundai Tiburon. Talk about a cheap korean plastic interior..lol

The Z interior feels so luxurious compared to that piece of junk

hi guys, i have a 06 base model with 6MT I would like to implement cruise control in my car, for the cruise option but more importantly for the map switching for the osiris, i havent bought anything yet, i saw in the 1st posts the switches needed for the clutch/brake pedals and the plugs for them, but on the steering wheel side, does it also contains the plugs for the cruise and audio switches so technically, its like plug and play, no hard wiring at all?

Also what about the light on the cluster? It does has the graphic of the cruise control options but there is no led soldered behind it right?
Please let me know and thanks in advance!

The wire harness is on the steering wheel for both controls. With nothing but the CC switches you can switch maps the cluster in my car did not work with the leds soldered in. I had to get a cluster from a model that had it.

All physical hardware is plug and play. To get the cruise control light you have to swap clusters with a cruise enabled car's cluster. The gauges clusters microcontroller are flashed with a different ROM depending on model. If switching you need to cover / removrd the tcs led as it will light up.
