I am putting a splitter in. I would have to cut my splitter up to do that. I am just going to watch my water temps for now and move them if they get too high.

If you are preventing as much air as possible from going around the radiator you SHOULD* be fine. The opening in the bumper is the most critical thing because the tubing as you have them is not going to keep air from entering the area in front of the radiator- that is, once it's in the area, that air has to go through the radiator (or around).

*High compression/lean motors- all bets are off! ;-)

I came across them via a google search for Nismo 350Z brake duct. Clearly a more simplified design, but much more affordable for the hobbiest track-goer.

I'm trying to outweigh the benefits of buying the still affordable Nismo CF duct kit or making my own of a similar design (which is obviously more effort on my part, but it wouldnt cost me much more than sourcing the hoses), but with this other kit as an option, $115 for an effective brake cooling setup is hard to pass up.

Looks like someone at the Nissan dealership was a little ambitious with promoting their ducts. The only thing that exists of the photo is the photo itself. The part pictured is NOT part of the kit and is not available.

The part number referenced is the Nissan Motorsports intake duct and tubing kit. No backing plate.

Looks like the carbon fiber part is the only one on the market.

Just bought the item from Fontana that is referenced above... yeaaa did not come with the duct to the rotor. Just tubing and a NACA duct. The pics on the site are of the actual kit I bought. I feel like I got hosed

I got the Nismo kit which only comes with the Aluminum bracket and Carbon duct... You need to get the tubing and the duct for however you choose to bring air into the carbon one supplied.

The company making these has a set of cosmetically blemished ducts. The finish didn't turn out as nice, but they are 100% functionaly. If anyone is interested, PM me and I'll get you the number the call.

That looks promising, and would blindly go for it.
But its a bit pricey, I think $250 would be fair, at least for my350z members

Talon49, you should post the installation photos of your brake ducts here! Nice Job!

Rob and Bill are running the Nismo 350Z nose.

They are now....I think when I wrote that only Rob was, but I could be wrong. I know both Rob and Bill are at this point, though.

I race with NASA, so I'm just gonna cut so big holes in the bumper if front, and hope it is a high pressure area...

I have the CF kit, just have not installed it yet...a blown motor has slowed me down on the brake ducting...

You can buy this NISMO nose. Carbon/Kevlar. We have 1 left that was a pre-production run. It's the bare one in the photos. The carbon wasn't layed out well, so it needs to be primed and painted. It takes a ton of weight off the nose and will help move weight balance rearward.

Didn't think the carbon nose is too great of a plan, but the carbon V3 wing looks like a deal. Is it an entire wing or just the main element like the MCR?

That's an 'introductory price' that won't last too long on the wing.

The upper element of the wing is all carbon. 4 layers of carbon with a structural resin system. It's UV clear coated. The middle and lower elements are primered fiberglass and meant to be painted. We're just getting the info together on the wing.

This is the same wing we make and resell through Nissan Motorsports for Grand Am competition. It's the exact same thing as the NISMO wing, just in carbon/fiberglass... and much lighter.

We'll be eventually making the middle and lower element in carbon, although the price wil be much higher.

The NISMO rear bumper cover, side skirts and lower front lip (all in carbon/Kevlar) will be up later this week.
