These guys can provide the required BFG livery and tires...looks like decent pricing for racers

Jackson Motorsports Group in partnership with BFGoodrich has a racer program that allows us to offer these tires at a discount to racers. Our price for the tires you’ll be running (MSPN 74887 – 275/35-18 – BFG R1) is $285.00 each plus tax and our shipping cost is only $10 per tire. We also offer Michelin and BFGoodrich race and Ultra High Performance tires at discounts to our racers. If you have any additional questions about pricing or availability, you can call us at 800-RACE-BFG.

Paul Hanna (cc’d here) is the BFGoodrich Pavement Manager who works specifically with those running R1’s in series’ like NASA and SCCA. Should you have any questions about setup recommendations for the tires you can contact him via email.

Please don’t hesitate to call or email if you have any further questions. Thanks!

I finally created an account with JMG to get the spec tires. Still waiting on some word to changes for the rain tire (and any other rule changes of course).

Fair enough - looks like I'll just get some open-ended lugs. I've always run cheapo "disposable" ones since I consider them a consumable. The edges wear off and they end up getting stuck, so I'm ready to step up to "good" ones. I am not talking about a $180 set of K40 something-or-others. Anyone have proven recommendations for lugs that are taken on/off A LOT?

My own take on "recommended" is Nissan does sell high-quality parts (like NISMO lugs and nuts) they could sell you, but they won't disallow other high-quality parts, either.

My T2 car will stay on the same ARP studs I've used for the past four seasons. They are bulletproof and work well with open end lugs.

Only catch is that it falls in the same table of "recommended" parts as the Spec suspension. . . which apparently is not completely ready either.

I am working with a well respected Nissan Dealer in the South East to stock and supply the required Spec Z NISMO parts to racers. I hope to have a plan announced in the next week or so....so hang on!!! So don't purchase your parts yet...maybe we can do a "group buy"...working on that as well.

Also working on a wheel Group Buy...Enkei's...

Sure wish the Version 2 rules would be announced...guess I need to push that a little.

Perfect = I will wait before ordering my suspension, etc.... just got the Brembo's though - so, those will go on soon -- my build will be much slower than yours - as I am building for 2013 season!!

Where in the SouthEast - I am in Raleigh....

Most likely will just post informational links here so as to stay in good standing with the Mods

The real detailed info will be over at Nasaforuns.com...in the Spec Z area...

Aren't we waiting for version 2.0 of the rules? Any chance they'll allow a square set up? Maybe worth waiting to see?

Agreed...but I need to narrow down what to buy very soon...I will start pushing some buttons next week...with any luck... and my work slowing down some.

I had it when work interferes with Racing

I will be waiting on the rev2 announcements of a, b, c items. I bought a set of the spec tires, and the spec sways are just getting to me now. WaveTrac goes in this week, so I'll just be missing spec NUTS .

I'll be running my NISMO 9" fronts and RPF1 10" rears until/if there is an announcement, but plan to run the 18x9 +35 RPF1 in the front (waiting patiently *ahem*!), as I don't see why they won't be legal.

Here is some new car vid in V710s. I wasn't very comfortable driving the new car, new set-up, and new (crowded) group, but wanted some time with the new Z:

Your Z can't be that fast...there are hardly any stickers on the hood.

AN 18x9 +35 RPF1 didn't come close to clearing my stoptechs....the brembos are roughly the same physical size.
