The 2TH PWR Track Car conversion
That first part at the airport probably looked awesome from outside. DRIFTO ACTION!
I remember I told Jim I had never had an off an he was shocked, told me I obviously wasn't going nearly as fast as I could. Of course the next event I went about 100feet into the grass at SMP
But I think its true, you have to find the limit once in a while before you can drive near it.

I went off for the first time on the 11th. Had a good driver behind in a Porsche Cayman putting on the pressure and I started to lose it in a corner. I just drove off the track instead since it was a good spot to avoid any collision. He was right on my ***.
I was at TMP on the 20th of Oct also on a cool rainy day. It was VERY slick and I was sliding all over the place. But didnt go off the track. lol

I went off 3 times this year. Once last year.
The first off last year was the brake failure. Pads completely gone and I didn't make T2 at TMP. Just went straight.
The second was also at TMP this year in May. I lost ABS suddenly and unexpectedly and my trail braking brought the back around in the tight infield T6 Left hander. It wasn't much of an off as it occured at about 10 km'h and my front tires stayed on the pavement.
The third off was the one you see at DDT. I was just applying the principle of pushing the limits. Each lap I said I was going to brake later and go harder. I applied the brakes a millisecond too late. I put the passenger tires in the grass and lost most of the ability to stop, and that sent me right through the corner on the opposite side. If I had been 2 feet sooner, or if there had been 2 more feet of track paved on the right I would have nailed it and it would have been epic.
The 4th one you see at TMP. Applying the same principle. How long can I hold the gas in the chicane. Well... the answer is not quite that long. lol. So dial it back a bit.

I actuslly found in my first couple of days I was very conservative.
At my last track day in October I was putting 2 wheels off quite a bit trying to find the ragged edge.

^ esp in T2... infact only T2. I put two tires wide maybe 5 times.
It's the fastest corner of the track. You kind of pitch the car in at 130km/h then scrub off 35km/h while you are sliding.
Easy to slide a couple feet wide.
roughly a minute in
stayed on that time...

Hmmm well it's complex. I started off with the goal of dominating street class and setting all the records for time to come. But then I was thinking, come on, it's CSCS no one is going anywhere because of this. So then the goal Became get better. I also have an interest on maybe doing formula ford? So what's the way to get better? I figured its making the car as fast as it can be and learning the new challenge of slicks. I may not have street tires mastered but I want to keep pushing forward. And I figure on slicks I could do a middle of the pack 1:17.0? I could do super street and that would be great because I would still be an underdog and the competition would be more intense. But I'd need expensive tires. I can pick up used slicks for less from competition teams
That integra is driven by a driver possessed by the devil, the DEVIL I say!
If you sell your rear bumper, we should build some dirty awesome aero rear. Thinking a modified stock rear with massive diffuser, open rear wheels. Would be so good.

ordered some stuff. black friday style.
Motordyne XYZ Y pipe with straight pipe.
Agency Power Y pipe back
JWT clutch and flywheel kit
Greddy extended lug nuts in yellow
Enkei Rpf1 10.5 +15s
to hold my super fast mystery tires.
NRG short hub gold
NRG 3.0 quick release gold
NRG steering wheel.
Power slot front rotors
Been working on the diff. A side oil seal had a slow leak I found the last weekend.
Been taking weight off and still working on aero. No real progress. Last year I was 3146 lbs race ready. I would love to be under 3000 race ready next year as I will be getting demolished by much lighter cars with more power. Sounds like fun.
Z1 had a Greddy TT kit $3000 off and the entire day I was like wow. Don't buy that. Nothing but headaches and hp is for suckers.
Forgot to add, my build log is taking a little side track to make sure I get some expert help.
