Good call on the steering wheel, you will realize how much you hate the stock one
Plus with the gold quick release you are officially accepted into the JDMsickYO club. You can park next to hondas that have purple control arms and titanium strut bars.10.5 wheels will poke/rub those front fenders I think, better get rid of them
Or go buy this too

Actually, build some side skirts like that has too.

Yah. I will officially throw my hat into the super street ring with the order of some 295/30 ZR 18 Hankook Ventus TD's (soft compound). Reason being is my main goal is driver improvement.
Nothing will make me improve like the most intense competition.
Last year is SSR there were 5 cars that would beat me hands down.
Rianns vette. Kens RX7. Daniels 370Z, Jun's S2000, an M3 was also entered in a couple events and thrashed me. There was also a GT3 that entered that beat me at DDT. In street class a Cayman R came out to the last event and to that point beat me as well.
If I entered street it would not be as much competition. If I entered UR it would also not be a real competition. Less cars. And the regulars are out of my reach.
So yeah. intense weight reduction. Gonna fight to take 100- 150 lbs. So when I pull onto the recycling scales in April I hope to see a 1364 kg with me in the car I guess? Last year it was 1430 kg.
Trying to think of easy hp? Pullies? Don't know what the next progression is after full exhaust. Intake plenum spacer and tune.
Goal is to try and get to 1:17s by the end of the year.

LOL... Funny.
OP, I may have missed it in your thread but what settings are you running the Hotchkis sways on?
What are your takes vs the stock feel?
Have you played with any of the settings? I'm looking for as neutral a setting as possible and not wanting understeer.
Any tips?
Edit:
Your build looks great btw

Gotta be honest I did not notice the sway bars made THAT much difference.
The settings that worked best in my hands was full soft on the rear and second softest on the front.
I did play with it a bit and I'm happiest there.
In fact I would say the only advantgae Hotchkis has over stock would be adjustablility. But that's just my opinion.

Im pretty sure most people run it on the softest, they are way to stiff otherwise. Even at softest they are a fair bit stiffer than stock.
Pullies might net you 2hp but would save 10lbs off the front of your car! I think the next step is cams or something crazy with the intake like Sasha does. Either way I dont think you are going to find power for less than $100/hp. Without boooooost.

The best weight loss is with tools that go
BZZZZZZZZZZZZ
If you makes you feel better you were past the point of no return a long time ago. Racecar land is a 1-way trip.

installing the snorkel

I figure with the front bumper taped up to make downforce on the splitter the snorkel is a good idea.

weight reduction is getting stupid. Yes I plan on running without those body panels. The front bumper and splitter will go back on for aero.

I don't know if this will continue to be an issue or not but with this unplugged the cars climate control system pumps full blast. Will double check later when more is gone.

taking this out was a *****.

this is progress for now. Still some things to go obviously. The dash will then go back in as a skin only. I guess rules state oem dash and console has to be there. I took a bunch off the doors and the mirrors are gone. No rule says I have to have side mirrors. Might rig up a larger mirror inside. We'll see how it works out. Might put them back on.

When you disconnect the climate controls it defaults to full blast. If you remove the control module it will turn off, but you will also lose your cluster (fuel, RPM, etc). Im sure there is a resistor you could put in its place but I haven't found a pinout diagram for it yet.

I swore I wouldn't waste all my time weighing every little thing.
But I just weighed a garbage bag full of trim and metal and it was 25.1 lbs alone.
I think rob is right. Predicted weight with splitter and wing should be a touch under 2800 lbs. Can't "WEIGHT" to hit the scales in April! lol. that was awesome.

You should have no issue getting under 2800 without a roll bar.
Hell my BSP car is full interior (full plastics, dash, etc), with just seats, steering wheel, no AC/Radio is 2927.

After much discussion on facebook tonights project is Epic Super GT fenders

Step 1: DIY + DGAF
Step 2: Angle Grinder.

There we go.
Weight reduction roughly 11 lbs.
Fitment: OEM.
Increased wheel clearance. 18x 10.5 + 15 w/ 295s will fit with ease. Need to find some 18x 13s now.
Cost: $0
Time to complete: 10 minutes.
Other: Intimidation factor

Drawbacks: None.
