Default *HELP!*

guys i tried searching for this but i really couldnt find it considering i am not too great with the forum search. my stock exhaust tips are really faded and dull. i was wondering if any of you guys have had this problem before and how you took care of this problem and brought back that natural shine to it. just an FYI, i really would like it to be a method that i could do right at home rather than go to a detailer or body shop. THANKS!

You can do it yourself with some metal polish. Check out your local Auto Zone or whatever to see what they have. Once its done, it will be susceptible to dulling and will have to be a regular polishing.

It has happened one mine. I usually shine'em up before meets/events/ect. They have cleaner/polisher compounds.

Just a suggestion. Put a subject in the subject line like

Squeaking brakes

instead of

Help

Need help immediately

or

If you don't help right away I will die!

The Optimum (OPT) Metal Polish is a great example of a metal polish that should be able to restore the pipes to like new condition. Just apply a few drops to a soft applicator or cloth and buff it on with light to medium pressure. You can buff away any residue with a clean cloth for best results.

Another suggestion is to use Flitz Metal Polish. Flitz is an outstanding polish and will shine your exhausts with minimal effort.

And for inside the pipes, use full strength oven cleaner - just don't get it on the paint. Makes them look like new.
