I did replace the rear diff bushing with a solid unit and seemed better but still got some wheel hop after the third run. No standing burn out just a roll out of the water box. The track claimed 5 cars last night so it was very nice and sticky. Now just need to work on consistency out of the line..
I see your in orlando, are you going to orlando speedway, or that other 1/8 mile track? i dont remember the name, but i ran my z there and the traction is horrible, if its there GL.

on another note i just last night raced a buddies 370ztt on street tires. it went 11.7 @122 we just dont see and turbo 370 on our forum running down the 1/4.

I live like 5 min from CFRC (1/8 mi track) so its more convenient for me in case something happens. The track is hit or miss on test & tune days, but last friday it was good. Im running a white 350z not a 370z. There is a white 370 nismo that is also down here. We just met not to long ago. I will be going back out on Friday or Saturday again...

I got a very good deal for the tires and wheels together so it was one of those things where I just went and got them. The et streets hook very well even used as I got them. I see nothing but good reviews about them so when they go, I will be buying another set. I have no experience with the Hoosiers, but I hear also they are a good drag tire.

drag radials themselves can cause wheel hop on manual cars, as can track prep, or poor launching technique.

So yesterday was my first day at the track, and while I only got one run in I launched @ 4k. The wheels hopped a bit and broke traction slightly, then hooked but Im sure that BS launch had something to do with my 2.22 60' time. Im looking for DR's also but I have a lot of practice to catch up on. Beginning with the launch. I think practice with different launching techniques will narrow it down as well as track prep being hit or miss....

Well.....last night has been my best night out at the track in a while. after a couple of 8.13 runs I finally got a good burn out and a good launch off the line with the help of the track official. I hit a 1.77 60ft and a 7.91 @ 89.5MPH. Man after the 8.1 run I didnt believe it would get any better till now... The weather was good with low humidity and track prep was also good so I guess everything just fell into place last night..I want to thank everyone for all their helpfull input, it really helped me out.

Ricer arithmetic gives you a 12.4 second 1/4 mile. Good show.

Check out the video guys. I finally figured this thing out... The loud car is the blue bug.. My son was recording and thought we were going to be kicked out for not having a helmet after they warned my the first time when I ran 8.13 that same night.

You need camber kits to get back to zero (or make almost any adjustment at all)... and not any camber kit as some of them don't have enough range like the ichiba. I'm running SPC's on S-techs with:

Camber
-0.5 front
-1.8 rear

Toe
0.05 front
0.12 rear

I tried zeroing everything out on the last alignment and let me tell you, it was scary...the car felt like an our of control SUV on the freeway and especially in boost. The slightst steering input could put you in a different lane.

just stick with stock specs (or slightly more aggressive) unless it's a dedicated drag car. A little toe and camber goes a LONG way in the drivability department.

+1 I finally kissed wheel hop goodbye with ET streets...pretty much no amount of suspension modification is going to 100% eliminate it with out some kind of slick on a 6mt.

Thanks for the info... I will be taking that into consideration... I'm also going to the ET streets, the drag radials have been great, but dont want to chance it in losing traction to wheel hop...

Hey guys, I have question. Are the FD wheels RX7 wheels? I know they are the same bolt pattern and are 8" wide. Will a spacer be needed for them to fit the Z?
