building a n/a monster
This is awesome..
Also, about the tach, the car in the video clip that I posted had a digital aftermarket Speedo/Tach setup. I can't remember the manufacturer but it looked pretty simple. Kinda neat to have a digital tach.. revs like a Kawasaki.

Well, pouring rain today so not going to ge tthe car til tomorrow. I will pick up the car and print all my dyno sheets and post my final ones on here tomorrow. He has it all tuned and actually idles good he had to fabricate a linkage to allow idle adjustment, so he says it idles aout 1050 but it idles nice and smooth. I will post the final dyno number now but will post charts tomorrow when I go get them. Baring any rain I will be going to the track this weds night as well.
Final N/A tune:
352rwhp@9075rpm
314rwtq@5150rpm
Final tune on nitrous: (he didn't tell me whet shot he installed just that he tuned it for nitrous and this is the final tune)
519rwhp@8850rpm
504rwtq@4400rpm
I can't wait to drive it now, he says runs much better and a very smooth power band now, no flat spots or anyhting. To tell you the truth though I really don't car about hp numbers, all I want to know is track times. I ran 11.80's on slick last time but with over 100 less hp and tq, I can't wait to see what happens now!

Ya, i'll make a few N/A passes just to get aquainted to it and yes I will run a few nitrous passes to see what she'll do.

hell **** yeah man!! i love it, you are like me, dyno numbers dont matter, trap speeds do!!
i am sure you will trap some 110 plus NA, that will be awesome, i am guessing 111 and some change cause you know how to drive and you have slicks, MAN that car must sound sick!!
congrats again and make sure you keep us updated on any more progress as i am sure you will.
ttys!!

You got it man, hp number just sound good but like alot of say mustang guys, i've got 400-500 horsepower and they run high 12's low 13's. I ran low 13's with 256rwhp. I use the dyno for tuning and the track for how fast is my car. Nobody every says hey man what do u run, oh I run 1000hp, no what do u run oh I run 14.0, lol just kidding. Trap speed says it all!! not the dyno
Wow, I just realized that you live in Illinois! That is awesome!
Well that may work out to my advantage!
Audible M, maybe I found the right cadidate if all goes well for my project! Hehe!

strup headers, test pipes, nismo cat back, ported lower plenum and runners, crawford intake ported plenum neck, etrude honed throttle body with custom titanium butterfly. injen air tube pop charger mass air flow.
I have a act 6 puck clutch
I have a act 6 puck clutch
two things, you make sure you have ported out the neck of the plenum the same size as your new throttle body and also get rid of the whole injen piping and mass air flow housing, i would get some 3 inch piping to flow all the way from your intake filter to the throttle body and get at least a 3 inch maf housing. you can control the idle using the utec so it idles well.
no point in ported TB if plenum neck and maf housing isnt that size or larger
good job though!!!!
you can use a ford lightening maf housing and it will work, or try to get a Q45 90mm housing. then the piping is easy to come across...
