Yes it is running on 93 octane pump gas right now. As of last time I saw it this morning was running fine and no detonation on 93 as of yet. Havent called nate yet to see how it is going, been busy at home here trying to catch up on a few things. But even if I do have to mix in some race fuel its ok, I have 4 -55 gallon drums of it at my house for my race bikes. Vp racing fuel, gotta love it, and the smell!!

very cool
would love to see the dyno plot and a datalog from the utec
going back and thinking about what I posted, it really all comes down to the tuning more than anything else - with the right timing, headers and cams, that high of a CR is possible on pump - all depends how it works together and how well it's tuned

Thank you for doing this, and in a very timely manner. Did you ever consider increasing the displacement before you started the project? It's very cool that you are doing this on a stock displacement vq though...

yes it is a performance/machine shop. He has all the equiptment in his shop, flow benches, lathes, etc. this is what he does. Mostly his shop just works on and builds mustangs, vettes, camaro's t/s's gto's and stuff like that. His shop is fully equipted to do anything and he has the knowledge to do it obviously!
I spent over 60 hours myself at his shop working this week, thats how you get a motor build in 4 days, its called friends, the right equiptment and next day air!!

AWESOME!!! Love to hear the sound.... told everyone already... 8200rpm sounds like a bike already... cannot imagine going 9000rpm+!! Good on ya mate!!!
I believe with more tunings done, your idle should be fine... my idle was poor a**, but after spending like a few days on the dyno, it got heaps better and now it sits at 825rpm to 850rpm... but when we first finshed it, the car wouldn't idle at all until we set it 1000rpm and beyond... Good luck mate!
cheers,
richie
