Just did another oil change at 3757 miles on V2 (fourth one with 2017mi on this oil) Sending off for UOA analysis.
My V2 used 8mm of oil in this past interval and has improved since last interval. Hope it continues to improve.
When I total my consumption with all service intervals done since swap, it = 20mm consumed in 3757 miles.

I WISH I could afford the 2009 model. Maybe in a few years too lol.
For now I would get a 05/05 and have enough left over for heads, cam and other bolt ons.

In general and somewhat a rant......
I still feel that the NHTSA should know about every failure being the first, second, third, bought back, lemon lawed, whatever on these. NNA (frickin Infiniti too) should be held accountable about this, especially when it still seems a 50/50 crap shoot and still not a 100% proven fix. NHTSA are the ones that can mandate recalls against manufactures and light fire under their ***** for many things.
If the NHTSA still sees defects happening and reoccuring ones from same owners with past filed complaints, they may finally possibly light that torch and inquire with WTH are you still not doing right here....yet! Do we need to tell you and mandate as such? Why isn't your TSB solving this long drawn-out issue? Do you really want the general public to publicy know about this and tarnish your multi-year VQ award record? etc....
Know many G35 owners have filed complaints, as I have a thread over there about it. Same here, but it fell into the abyss with little to no interest, whatever. First page on this thread has link to file complaint.

Hey guys,
out 05 z base model went in for the oil consumption test multiple times and failed. It was approved for warranty.
We got it back today and seems to drive different, maybe because they had it for ever. LOL
But what is different about the engine they have put in.

^ Maybe he has a Auto trans = non revup. His sig doesn't say 6mt or 5at. Wow, hope the dealer didn't pull a fast one if he has a 6mt.
Have read a few G35 owners on Driver with non revups having OC issues and been replaced under warranty. Just no where near the same numbers in comparison to revups.
Infiniti non revup part # is 10102-AM8M1.
Where-as the revups # is 10102-AC7M9.

So what hp motor did i get? It still has the orginal lower and upper factory intake manifold on it.
