starting car problem....
I have a 03 350z manual. Long story short.....got the car with ignition damaged and Nats module broken.
I replaced the ignition/nats with a used one at junkyard and had a locksmith come out to program the key. He says it can't be done because the BCM and Nats are "married" and that you need a "virgin" Nats module. I read that you need a consult II device to do the programming, he wasn't using one of those if that was that was the issue. He tried a couple of times to program the key and said it failed, wasn't able to communicate with ecu or bcm.
What are the parts that is needed to installed have the system working? Nats module, bcm, ecu...anything else? read on forum that the white box that sits behind ac controls needed to plug in also?
I could buy a new Nats module from dealer if that would solved the problem or try to get the Bcm from the junkyard I got the ignition/nats module from.
Any suggestions would be great
Thanks,
Chi

hopefully that would be the last resort. from the posts i've read, the dealership may not be the most useful.
Would it matter if the nats, bcm, and ecu were from different cars? Would it still be possible to have them all work together?

Your Nissan dealership can solve this, but they will replace some of the components (read this as $$).
