Custom Engine Grounding/Earthing Kit
The Stingers are GORGEOUS! Install went smoothly, but you really need a deep offset 10mm wrench to reach several of the bolts. Other than that, it is BEAUTIFUL! The color is perfect.
I ordered from Insaneamine on Friday and on Moday the kit was in the mail. unbeleivable.. I wasn't expecting it until the new year.
I got the silver grounding kit and i'ld love to take pictures of it once i install it, but i don't have a dig camera. :-(
can't wait to install it later today when i finish work..
thanks insaneamine!

Ordered on Friday and by the time we figurered out what we were smoking, I recieved the kit on Tuesday and had the grounding kit installing in less than 45 minutues. Excellent craftsmenship, all required parts are included and fits perfect, did not even need the tie downs. Thanks for the extra Christmas gift.
Hey Insaneamine,
What do you mean in your instructions when you say to apply the loctite at the 'end of the screw'? What do you consider the end? At the tip, or close to the head?
Also, where do you get 'loctite'?
Sorry guys for my naitivity, but I am learning alot from these forums so please put up with me. Thanks!

Loctite is a liquid thread locker and uses a chemical bond to help keep a bolt from backing out. What Insaneamine is saying is that the liquid Loctite should be put on the treads of the bolt (where it can harden) and NOT on the tip. Just a drop will do- more is NOT better!
You can purchase Loctite and most any auto supply house. It comes in several formulas- you'll probably want to check the package label to find a 'medium to light hold' (272 formula?) and not a permanent version.
Hope this helps!

Hello everyone!
I just wanted to thank every body again. These past few months have been fantastic and I owe it in part to everyone on this forum! You guys, and of course, gals are the best!
Hope your Holiday was pleasant. I look forward to the New Year and what it holds.
P.S. I see a couple of posts asking for pictures of a Silver Kit installed. I plan to make a Silver Kit for myself as a permanent replacement for the Black that is on my car now.
Pictures at eleven…

Insaneanime, you are awesome. I did recieve my kit and will install once I'm back from vacation. I got a chance to look at them before I left and they look really spectacular. Anyone looking at the silver they are awesome. I will put them on a SS and hopefully if I can take some pics. It won't be until next year though. Have a safe and happy new years to all Z enthusiast.

My kit was shipped quickly, and I just finished installing it today. I wanted to share a few moments...
1) its painful to remove bolts from a hot engine. Owie!
2) Kit was very easy to install, esp. with the pictures on this thread.
3) If you drop some of those bolts into the engine area it can take quite a while to find and remove them! Doh!
4) it takes even longer to remove those dropped bolts when the engine is hot!
5) When I got all done with the install, last part was screwing on the plastic engine cover. As I tightened the last bolt I heard a strange clunking sound, like a bolt or screw or washer hitting the metal plate underneath the engine. Funny part is im not missing any tools or parts. What could it be?
Anyhow car still runs OK. Now I remember why I dont do my own car repair anymore.
Oh well, do you think a dropped bolt in the engine voids my warranty?

I went to put the cover back on and noticed that the top left cover hole area already had 3 wires bolted to it so my cover now only has 3 bolts lol. Oh well I was proud that I did it myself and didn't have to pay an hour labor to someone.

Not a good idea to do this install when your car is still warm. Wait until it cools down to start and BTW could the "strange clunking sound" that IvanB heard be simply the sound of hot metal from the engine or exhaust contracting as it cools?
