Review of RJM adjustable clutch pedal bracket
I don't have any issues with clutch dropping on the RJM. Plenty of smoky burnouts and hard launching. You might need to change the fulcrum a bit if you drive hard and the engagement point is too long.
And see, launching isn't something have any problems with. I don't *really* have any problems with normal operation, but it requires more concentration than other vehicles i've driven in order to make sure things are smooth.
And that's one of the biggest reasons why i'm uncertain about this, it's almost contradictory with some of the reporting as to what it does
Still on the the fence.

Still on the the fence.Feathering is the biggest reason to get this clutch mod. In drag racing the "on/off" is horrible for launches. Maybe on a low hp NA car you can deal with it but if you just clutch drop 650 hp on the line 2 things are going to happen: traction breaks or if you have nasty drag slicks something in the driveline will break. Almost ALWAYS my car would spin and lose time. With this I can feather in the power to maintain traction and it got me off the line super fast.
Now for daily drivers. If you drive the car a lot and want to rest your leg from stop and go traffic you can adjust the fulcrum so this clutch pedal pressure is light enough to easily push with your hand. For some that is desirable since they sit in traffic a lot.
If you want to feel a little on how this pedal can help open up your clutch pedal (take it out) and remove the pins holding that spring and drop that crappy spring out. That will help significantly and you will begin to see how this new pedal can help.
On top of that, it's 100$. Most ppl on here will spend more than that on just junk food, soda, or fast food in a month. Definitely spend more than that on pointless things that do nothing but look good (or in my eyes, look horrible) on their car. If you don't like it strip it out and you can easily sell it for the 100$ you paid for it.
LOL..I take it in and out of neutral.

What Binder means is with the adjustable fulcrum you can adjust the pedal to be much lighter underfoot then stock and you can push and release all day long without your left leg getting twice the size of your right. Nothing to do with holding the pedal down vs going into neutral which everyone should be doing anyways as regular habit.
Also with the altered fulcrum like Binder mentioned you don't need to feed gas/rpm's when letting the clutch up to roll forward a car length which can be frustrating at times with a heavy pedal and clutch that likes to grab abruptly.
Bottom line though this thread was created for people who have purchased and installed my product to post reviews about their experiance with my product and to get setup tips or help... Not to debate why one feels they don't need or want my product for their car. Please keep this thread on topic.
As for contradicting reviews about what my product does I certainly haven't seen any here from anyone that has purchased and tried the kit...or on any of the other reviews threads running elsewhere. The product works and does just what I've always said it does.
If after reading all the information and glowing customer reviews within the last 16 pages of this thread, the G35 review threads, the G37 review threads or the 370Z review threads and are still on the fence then I don't think there is anything anyone can say to convince you its worth trying.
If you're completely happy with your stock pedal feel and can drive your Z flawlessly under all situations then by all means don't by my product.
I truely wish people who haven't purchased my product would stop giving others their opinion on what my product will or will not do for them. If you haven't tried the product you really can't appreciate just how much it changes the whole driving experiance.
I'd also like to thank everyone who's taken the time to review here and the great bunch of guys who've continued to lend their support to my product by telling others and helping answer questions both here and elsewhere. I really appreciate the continued support guys!

Wife just informed me that mine arrive today! Thanks for the quick shipping RJM! I'm currently still in Iraq so its going to be a couple months before I have a chance to install the assembly but looking forward to doing it. Guess I have plenty of time o read and re-read this thread. LOL
Please don't think i'm here trying to discredit this in anyway. I appreciate everyone's feedback and it's what i need.
I'm not saying i can drive it flawlessly under all situations, it's why i'm here, otherwise i wouldn't keep coming back to this thread, i find it fascinating
The contradictions i was referring to were just in a couple of recent mentions, one said they'll help in this area, but not much in the other, and someone else's answer was the opposite, but both agreed it really helped
The good news is, i now know why this is one of the more unpredictable cars i've driven
Half the problem i've had in convincing myself, is nearly every person i've met/spoken to in the states, seems to have genuine problems trying to drive manuals, so forgive me, it's why i'm really dragging this out to convince myself. If i was flush with the cash, perhaps i wouldn't be trying desperately to justify this. As someone mentioned $100, i wish it was that cheap
Anyway, Ryan, i'm sorry i'm coming off as confrontational and derailing here, it's not my intention.

I've been keeping up with the posts on this thread for a while now and I've got to say buying the RJM adjustable clutch bracket was one of my best decisions. The 350z is my first manual car and I actually learned how to drive manual on my neighbors '07 Porsche Cayman S. Comparing a Porsche to a 350z is unfair but even my neighbor, after taking my z for a test drive, agreed that the feel of the RJM bracket was incredible. Having the engagement point lower along with a lighter clutch pedal is amazing. As everyone has said already, smoother starts, uphill is a breeze, and of course for those us daily driving our z our legs aren't getting exhausted to the point of falling off.
All in all, the only drawback is if you're a big guy the install will be painful for you but besides that this mod is a must I think. The greatest part for me is that I can play around and change the settings anytime and experiment on what feels best. If you don't have the money right now for it, then save up for it, it's definitely worth it. And best of all, Ryan has THE best customer service around, GUARANTEED!

I just had a lift from my friend tonight, he drives a WRX, and, unlike my other friend who drives the same car, this one knows how to drive manual correctly
Anyway, the smooth smooth shifting with minimal effort kinda made me think a bit more about what i've been putting up with since i moved to the states (Mustang, they are nasty gearboxes, and the 350, good box, but dodgy clutch)
I've decided that after two years driving those two cars, that i'm just putting up with crap more than i probably need to, i've never had it this bad before.
Time to save i think, then maybe get an install thread/pics etc and review. I dunno, we'll see.

Agreed, customer service is incredible. And even if you don't think you need this, you actually do -- no matter how much you think you like the stock pedal you'll never want to go back.

My comment about non-customers commenting on what my product does or doesn't do for people wasn't really directed at anyone here but in other forums these type of discussions have all too often lead to people who've never even tried my product bashing it or telling others not to purchase my product for a whole handfull of bogus reasons... The most common one I see all over the forums is someone asking about my product and then 20 people telling people to suck it up and learn to drive which really isn't the case with out Nissan and Infiniti clutches.
In stock form you simply have to concentrate and work much harder to drive these cars smoothly then you need to. I subscriber to the philosopy of working smarter- Not harder.
I produce this product in small quantities to help others better enjoy their cars. I never originally intended to sell the idea or turn it into a business. I simply had the idea and built the first prototype for my own use. It was only months later that I shared the idea as a possible group buy if people were interested. It took off from there but if I was solely doing this for the money I'd of stopped after the intial group buy as I barely make anything on selling these as cheap as I do as over 75% of the cost is just the raw materials, manufacturing and hardware as US Made Steel and CNC Laser cutting isn't cheap.
RJM Performance Inc. is a part time business for me although I try my best to run things seamlessly as if I was full time and answering questions for customers nearly 24hrs a day whenever needed. Truth is I work full time 45-50hrs a week as a Mechanical Engineer, go home to have diner with my Wife and 2 young boys before heading to the workshop to do all the welding, paint finishing, assembly, packaging & shipping after the boys go to bed.
I'm currently working 80+hrs and 7 days a week to keep things running as they are. It's a lot of hard work and late nights but the support this community has given me along with seeing the glowing reviews from happy customers have kept it going.
I installed the bracket today. Took me about 1 hour 15 minutes.....then another hour and a half adjusting, driving, adjusting, etc. The difference is significant. At 75% I immediately noticed that the engagement shudder was gone. I ended up adjusting it to a tad over 80%, resulting in a smooth, easy to use clutch that engages predictably, yet is forgiving enough to not be fatiguing.
Some installation notes: 1) Get a set of hex bits and load the correct size into a 1/4" flex-head ratchet to make adjusting the fulcrum point much easier than fiddling with a standard hex wrench. 2) Use a small mirror to get a look under the start switch to see if it is bottoming out.
This mod is well-worth the money and the effort to install. Hats off to RJM for a fantastic product.

The awesomeness of this mod continues......dialed the clutch rod over about 1/3 of a turn, lowered the clutch stop a tad......it's like butter. Next to no resistance initially, smooth onset; I've got it set so the whole thing is maybe a bit harder than the gas pedal. It engages about 3/4" off the floor. I've tried, and I can't get it to shudder like it did before. Totally changes the driving experience!
