The Official LS Swap Info/Questions Thread
No drivability issues what so ever the iron blocks are only 57-100lbs heavier than the aluminium block 6.0's The reason i went with the iron block is i am running a 200 shot of NO2 with plans on boost.
Got cruise control working! Now to finish up on the stock cluster and make sure the factory tach is working correctly through out the RPM range but just a quick plug and play seems to be reading the same as the computech datamaxx that i have installed
your on a dbw setup? i might get those universal vaccuum style cruise controls because im converted to throttle cable
What did you use? I am looking at setting up my ls6 with a drive by wire.
im not on drive by wire im running the a throttle cable with with 102mm FAST throttle body
i used the dakota digital #CRS-3000 with the HND-2 dash mount switch no need for vacuum needed for this unit and i have it tucked away and built into my harness as well. The company i work for is a dakota digital dealer which is why im testing some of their products to help us guys out with keeping our luxury items like cruise. Should have a finalized system for a plug and play for the factory tach by first of next week.

Its just a coulpe of wires that read off the VSS signals and the dakota digital unit uses a electric servo to control the throttle body here is a picture of the unit. It retails for 245.00 with your choice of handle and i used the dash mounted one that is located under the dash but going to order a second unit to tear apart to connect with the factory steering wheel buttons.

I like to have it on the long trips i take to out of state shows and events and the girl friend drives the car some and said she wouldnt mind having cruise when i make her drive on long trips lol
+1 thats why I love the 6MT, wife can't drive a manual.
Good info on the 240 pedal Brew, can't wait to see how the CC works out. I lost mine to the anti-lag setup and don't miss it often, but the year I went to ZdayZ it would have been nice to have.

I had plans of being at zdayz last year but i was waiting on my tune but expect me to be there this year with all the rest of the crazy alabama guys. She already knew how to drive a manual and this car is so easy to drive i taught my 18yr old cousin how to drive a manual with in 10 min without stalling out once.
Drove to work with cruise on 80 the whole way its a simple unit to install, and with no vacuum lines makes things simple and clean.

bwahahah
i tried to teach the gf how to drive on my old evo, was an exedy twin, very very comfortable and non aggressive. after a dozen stalls or so, i decided to teach her on a mini cooper lol.
+1, i want cc bad, just another creature comfort in this uncomfortable car. i figure if im doing all this work and spending all this cash, im gonna ahve some damn a/c and cruise lol. plus its good for the guys that swapped 3.3 rear ends in and lost cruise in 6th gear (at least for the vq guys still)
this coming up year is gonna be nuts! looking forward to actually hanging with you guys instead of all this sexting we've been doing
