also, the gto piece fit perfectly with no modifications anywhere. now my sikky shifter sits and shifts perfectly

The machine work is done! The guts from the sikky shifter appear to fit. I'm going to do a test fit tonight to see how much, if any tunnel work will need to be done.

so the only reason people are wanting to run the nissan ecm along side the ls ecm is for stock gauges to work? What about ABS? is the nissan ecm needed for anythign else?

Would it be possible to only use the ls ecm and just run aftermarket gauges? I do not care to run a/c either

After searching much of the interwebs and getting ditracted by boobies everywhere I found this:

My LS2 has the dipstick hole, but it's from a Vett. Hmmm I didn't think there were different versions of the LS2 block?

Ah, I should have looked at the pic first. The GTO block is plugged and uses the pan where the Vett just uses the block.

Well I just talked to Sikky today and they said the kit is suppose to come with a plug for the old dip stick location. So they are shipping me the piece.

"And yes your hardware kit should have included a 1/8 NPT Pipe Plug."
