Nothing happend to the hood while it was at the shop. The hood was in the box, on a shelf in a safe place. I saw the hood before it wen't on and it was fine. It's simply poor quality we're dealing with here and a site vendor doesn't want to accept responsabilty for the quality of a product he sells. And by the way anyone that got a pm deserved it...

Pm sent to Nitrouz

I think you need to relax about the pm's. Anyone I sent a pm to was being a ***** and deserved it. I called no one a name who didn't make a rude comment toward me first. What I am asking them to do is simply stay away from my post, since they are not helping the situation only making it worse..

I am trying to make a point with a vendor jerking my chain and everyone has to give me their 2 cents. This is not here for that but rather a warning for people to be more informed about Jim and his business practices before dealing with him. Obviously your going to side with your site "sponsor" because he pays you to advertise on the site.

He is wrong and will lose...

You people can't seem to read, the car was never in a collision. Stop going back to that...

This thread is rediculous. No pics, no refund IMO. My guess is the OP just doesn't want the hood or needs the money to pay the bodyshop off so he can get his car back.

58 Days.

How many people find that to be an unreasonable amount of time for the OP to wait to complain about something?

I had a similiar problem with Jim but reporting the issue almost 2 months later is a bit much... Granted even if you would have sent pics and vids to him, like i did, as soon as you recieved your hood you probably would have never recieved a replacement hood or a refund... Took me 3 months and 2 threads to get him to come to an agreement, but you should have reported the issue sooner and sent in pics to prove the defect...

actually, if you can't prove to him that the hood IS in fact a factory defect (which i'm sure no-one here really doubts about the TS hood anymore)....then YOU LOSE!! Why don't you just snap some pictures...it's not hard. If you just demand money back w/ no proof....your Credibility = GONE.

This is definitely a case of the customer wanting too much, and not being willing to give any justification for their desires.

Close this thread....once the OP does what is necessary to get a claim started, he can post his results. Until then...this is a waste of space...

1) Um, no damage to front of car.. read the post.. that's a flat out lie!
2) I did complain about the hood sooner and the body shop had it in a box waiting for install for a week or two, not my fault....
3) The hood is not on the car, a nice high quality oem hood is on the car now, so why am I going to put his crappy hood back on to snap pictures, are you kidding me...?

1. then your body shop is lying to me, who knows what they are lying to you about.
2. You certainly didn't complain to me until the 2/27/07 and I hope you rebuttle this because I still have your original e-mail.
3. It takes maybe 15 minutes to swap out a hood with two people, are you kidding ME ? Also, I have a feeling you decided you didn't like the style of the TS and decided to go with the OEM and are trying to pull a fast one on me.

I'm being more then reasonable by asking for pictures. You are only making yourself look bad by denying me pictures then trying to bad mouth my company and then threaten other members through PM.

And the drama continues. If I were Jim and you were refusing to show pictures I would jut tell you to go **** yourself. I think Jim is being pretty reasonable at this point.

I think CarbonLTD was doing the right thing. So he wants pics of the hood? Who cares? He does have to protect his butt in all of it also. Thats like getting in an accident and not taking pictures and just want them to fix whatever you say is wrong with it. Im sure Carbon LTD would have loved to just get you another hood from siebon but thats not how the industry works. These days you cant just take peoples words for it. Sad but true.
