Default Beep?

OK - driving home this evening - got off of highway and onto 'slow' back road. I set cruise @35mph - and I heard a 'beep' after about 1 min. Sounded like it came from dash. Never heard it before. Came to stop sign. Went through all of the computer options - nothing flashing. Took off again - hit resume on cruise. After about 1 min - 'beep' again.

I've looked at cell phone, blackberry, etc - all charged - no messages, etc. So - I really don't think it was from either of those. But the sound was similar.

So - I know this really sounds wierd - but does the cruise have a 'reminder' beep? Or - ANY other possible source of that beep? I only heard it twice - will listen for it again tomorrow morning - same road, different direction!

TIA

Weird...can't really comment cuz I never use cruise (damn traffic). Curious to know what it ends up being though.

it's not coming from your car. the cruise doesn't beep. maybe it's the beep soundtrack you have in your cd player.

was the beep barely audible? If so, I've had the same thing happen a couple of times. Never have figured out what caused it.

^^^^ +1 i believe it's the temp gauge as well. This happened to me a couple of days ago when it was right about 35-34 degrees outside. It beeped and said "ICY" underneath the temp.

It's probably your TPS indicating a low pressure at one of the corners. The beap is low and intermittent.

You can verify this by the "!" symbol that displays on your dash if in fact it is low tire pressure. If you don't see this symbol, then it's something else.

As everyone else is saying... Check your TPS. All four tires need to be higher than 28 PSI -- if just one is 28 or less, then you will get a beep. If not TPS, then check the outside temp.
