Well I found another benefit to having the Fcon, on the way home I boosted and around 12 psi I just heard a woosh of air and the car just lost power, so I was like WTF but the car kept driving and I started to notice I was not getting any boost at all and you would hear a rush of air if I tried to boost.

I had popped the coupling off the MAF, that one is so tough because if you tighten to much it starts to distort the plastic housing and if you don't tighten enough it pops off, I am working on a metal pipe option, I have left the MAF in there just to avoid another source of CEL.

Now the benefit of the Fcon is that the MAF is just there to keep the ECU happy and avoid CELs and getting a signal but the car is running completely off the HKS MAP and Temp sensors so I could just keept driving home keeping an eye on all gauges, without issues other than remember what driving NA and now with an 8.8 CR engine FTL, I was on I95 with construction so not many options other than to keep driving.

well i pulled the trigger on the hks fcon too opting for the knock amp and navigator to go along with it with all bells and whistles for monitoring. im excited to get a chance to see what the hype is about and also learning how to setup the evc VI boost controller to the speed sensitive boost.


doug how are you liking your setup so far? mine is pretty similar to yours except i have the aps kit

 

yes sharif i did step up. Like doug said above we are FI twins same everything

 

its good.. i like it.. very very smooth with the FCon.. plus i got new suspension too so the car is much more planted than before... sometimes 400whp got a little crazy with stock suspension.. now 500 is nice
