What do you guys recommend again for test pipes? I need something cheap. I'd like to get ones that have two extra bungs welded in though so I don't have to head to the exhaust shop. I think maybe the only ones that have that are the Berks, although they don't have the support tabs on them.
My T-Pros ebay test pipes have never cracked.

according to goosegoose, the best thing to run for the stock setup is 2.25" diameter test pipes. Allows for better spool up, along with increased safety (turbo won't be damaged by a cat blowing out).

^ true the 2.25 inch test pipes will take away slightly from your top end but they cut down on surface area for heat loss and also increase exhaust gas velocity which gets the turbo spooling a little faster.

I just got back from the track and did get 7 runs!!!! That's right 7 runs in 3 hours (6pm-9pm) lol .. The good news I'm trapping 111mph consistently (best was 111.69mph), bad news I cant hook for ****!!! Street tires and FI FTL!!!! This was done with my heavy Work VSXX 19's and my best 60' was 2.336 (but mis-shifted on 2nd). My 60' was consistently around 2.4-2.5. This was my second time at the track. My first time was bad coz I shifted at 6000rpm on every gear This time I shifted around 6500-6700rpm..

Here's my best..

60 - 2.421
330 - 6.078
1/8 - 8.960
1/8 trap - 87.15mph
1000 - 11.40
1/4 - 13.43
1/4 mph - 111.69

I was spinning and hopping like crazy. Also I was knocking again like crazy! I dont know why I knock like crazy when at the track but not on the street. I do a lot of drag on the street and even when tuning but never knock like this. Utec is pulling timing left and right so I had to do 5 adjustment on my tune at the track. A/F is around 11.3-11.5 on full boost so I had to remove some timing just to eliminate some of the knock...ggrrr also had shift knock so I had to tune the Timing 0 column above 5000rpm to eliminate the shift knock. oh, well I need DR/Slick and lighter wheel!!!

Well that's good that things were mostly running good. I don't know jack about 60' times so I won't try to comment on that.

As for the knock - that sucks. Your IAT's running really high? I had the same shift-knock issue with my Vortech - I believe I had to add fuel and pull timing above 4500 in the 0 column to completely get rid of it.

My IAT was about 25C-31C so it wasnt crazy... I just dont get it that I get crazy knock at the track but not on the street I copied my timing from 10 column to my 0 column above 5000rpm and that fix some of the shift knock... Anyways my 60' was horrible!!!! Trap is pretty good and indicate that it is a mid 12's easy with some nice 60'... I also have a G35 so my car is heavier...

BUT...I need to run cats. My set up is 7-8 lbs of boost on MBC with an APS tall boy plenum (stuff affecting flow).

Why don't you try the Motrodyne XYZ pipe with HFC option? A single larger HFC located further downstream may have less chances blowing up than two smaller CATS in the OEM positions.

111 mph traps should be mid 12's. so get the spinning and 60ft down and you'l pick up almost 1s.

Yeah, and this was with my 19's.. I might go back again on 11/09 with the G35NYC crew and Glex might lend me his 18's with Nitto Invo. Not sure if that is going to grip on colder weather. The tack last night was just horrible.. There was a 350z there and consistently getting 2.6 60' Next Spring I will definitely get a smaller wheel (15-16 inch) and Slick...

well if you can take .25 seconds off your 60' which is entirely doable i think, you should take .5 seconds off of your ET which would put you in 12's. I'm thinking 12.7-12.8

Good news...turbo is intact, not broken or bent. XYZ pipe with HFC's are on the way.

^ Yes, I'm very interested as well.

Well, I am definitely getting some compressor surge when letting off when just rolling into boost. Letting off from WOT is fine, but other than that I definitely get a fluttering "squelch" sound from the rear. I have the -11 psi spring now, and in my logs I see it hitting -11+ psi when I'm off-throttle. However, I'll have to double check vacuum at idle tomorrow. I may just go with the -9 psi spring.

So all you guys hear is a "whoosh" or flutter from the BOV letting off under low boost? Nothing from the rear? I'm just wondering why I would be the only one having an issue.

How can you get compressor surge at -11 or anything below 0psi? Are you sure it is a surge? On a low boost (1-3psi) all I hear is just a flutter. when driving the flutter sound like it is coming from the back though Even at cruising the turbo is going to whine and it is normal... I even get that whining sound even in vacuum which I kind alike coz I love the sound of the turbo... What I love the most is going up hill just cruising and I hear the turbo whined even on Vacuum!!! I really doubt you are hearing a compressor surge at vacuum.

I know, it's crazy. I get it between like 0 - 1 psi. But it seems like you have the same thing. I checked my vacuum this morning, and it is -11 psi, and I have the -11 psi spring in the BOV.

So what is that noise we hear? The WG? I don't see how it could be the wastegate, since it should be staying closed at all times below 3 psi or so. I just thought it sounded like air being forced back out the turbo air inlet, which is compressor surge.
