thanks man! I couldnt have done it without Alex (hotrodG35) and some help from James. The amount of time put in this project is just crazy. Between Alex and myself we have over 120 hrs combined in the swap and probably another 60 combined for the pre-swap motor prep.
Few updates:
Car was running without ac....and I knew why. I forgot to plug in the pressure cylinder at the condenser which is also harder to plug in that the knock sensor. Got that done today though and will hopefully fix the AC.
Fixed a leak/kink in the oil cooler feed lines. The fitting to the oil cooler was loose and the hose was kinked a bit. I re-tightened the fitting and repositioned the hose so I should be good to go. Hopefully this will help keep my oil temps down. Also removed the lower L shaped charge pipe and tightened the oil feed lines again. Hopefully that leak is fixed.
Swapped the windshield washer tubes so that they supply the correct windshields. Damn seals still leak like crazy though.
Wrapped the down pipes......while installed! What a pain but it needed to be done. Hopefully this will remedy some of the heat coming up the transmission tunnel.
for the future:
-Some sort of oil catch can
-aam competition 3" dual exhaust?
-3.3 VSLD
-Strut bar to clear TS hood
-Wire tuck
-Finish installing BC
-Install fans onto oil cooler
-new fender liners

oh, and have fun with oil leaks. Not to get you down but it seems like once i stop one area from leaking on my car another area decides it would be fun to have a slow leak.
Seems like i've been battling tiny leaks for over a year now. Nothing serious, but enough to be annoying.

oil temp sensor is in an adapter plate right by the oil filter.
I have a few theories...
1. My undertray is removed...may allow cooling air to not reach where it should
2. Sensor is embedded in the aluminum adapter...aluminum transmits heat really well. With the turbos being so close they may be heating the metal up and giving a false reading
3. Oil cooler is mounted inverted. Not 100% sure that it is filled with oil. If it may only run slightly full then it will not be cooling efficiently
My plan:
Use one of these for my sensor
http://www.summitracing.com/parts/MRF-MP-3063/
Invert my oil cooler so it must be full to pass fluid
Fans...2 4" fans to push air through it.
Larger Core. after seeing this one installed there may be room for a taller core.

I hope I dont go through that. These few have been a pita. I think with the proper fittings leaks can be eliminated.
Just checked back over the budget....ouch. Way over budget. I think i can successfully remove the "budget" from "budget build". Sucks that there is still more to do!!!
Looking more and more at Haltech as my ECU.

The cooler mounting isn't causing it to run half full. When the oil goes through those lines it has (or should have) plenty of pressure to keep the cooler full.
I never like mounting temp sensors in the oil plates. It just doesn't seem like the best place to put it. It's also oil pre-cooler so it will be a higher reading.
Your undertray being off won't keep temps up either. I haven't had an undertray on my car since i went FI over a year ago. I leave it off for ease of checking on things weekly.
My leaks are all stupid ones. I've had the oil pan off so many times for weird things, this last time i didn't wait overnight to run the engine after RTV'ing the pan. Othertimes it's like, a fitting will start leaking, tighten it and it's all good, then another one starts leaking, readjust it and i'm good for a while....it just keeps continuing like that.

Swapped in a 3.3 vsld
Exhaust arrived, awaiting install
Battery dead.....
Once I button here back up I will put some more miles on here.
Still looking at ems since I want to run a utec but with 800cc injectors it may be tough.
Leaning towards haltech or fcon. Would love to have bootcamp.
