I always thought that a bunch of folks that couldn't afford camber kits, rubber wide enough to fit their tires, and a proper alignment got together and said, "Hey, it's not that we're broke. We're trendsetters!"

Anyways, that was pretty mean and off topic. When you get your car pinned up, I'd love to get a taste of what real power feels like if you'll take me for a ride along. I want to ride with some varying power level FI cars to see what level is attractive and what level is just plain scary.

^^sad to see it come from a mod lol..but mods have opinions too so i respect that.. although some of those trendsetters do have the money to buy your not expensive list of items but they just choose not too

Yeah..... not so much. It should be up and running in about 2 months, I just haven't had the time to work on it or get it tuned. School has been kicking my *** man. You guys should still come up we could go to a top fuel event or something.

Waiting on a new oil fitting for my oil cooler set up. Hopefully this fixes the leak that has been plauging me for a year! After that its mount tires, get tuned and a way we go!

Looking good bro. I put my oi cooler behind the fmic not sure how well that help. I think the way you did it it will definitely do it's job right. However, how much will it effect the fmic cooling?

it's hard to say what it would do but i kept mine away from my intercooler completely.

I mounted mine left of my intercooler which is about a foot away from the ambient air temp sensor. My dash temp always shows about 10* hotter than actual outside temps so my 180-200* oil cooler is heating up the air enough to cause a 10* raise in my temp almost a foot away from the cooler. That's a lot of heat i wouldn't want near my intercooler.

I am not too worried about the IC. It is rated for a lot more HP then what I will be running. Im sure the location will raise the temp some which may hurt my overall hp.
I just did not think that the location inside the bumper was effective. I was seeing 260 plus in oil temps so something needed to change.

I think the biggest issue is that the ic is going to disrupt the airflow. It would probably be better if the ic and oil cooler were sandwiched together. The damn aluminum ic can quickly dissipate heat and would probably act like a heat sink for the oil cooler.

you guys really like my engine bay? I thought it was kind of bland compare to some of the ones on the engine bay dress up thread.

IMO i would like to:
-powdercoat the throttle body
-replace the ps reservoir with an aluminum kind
-replace the coolant over flow with an aluminum kind
- wire tuck
-repowdercoat the ic pipes

I think it looks great in the picture you posted yesterday, but the ideas mentioned above would be cool too. What does it cost to get the charge pipes powdercoated? I was thinking of getting mine done wrinkle black.

the powdercoating work is "free". I do all my PC. Probably upwards 500 for all the work on the car so far. I want to do my whole suspension.

notice the color difference on the rare jdm cover and crawford strut bar between the pic below and the one in the post above?

I also did a ton of work for a g35driver.com member.

We traded work, he led the engine swap ( alex hotrodg35 on here) and I did a bunch of pc work for him

99% sure my oil leak is fixed. Looks like it was the BSP to 10an fitting all along. Some of the finish got chipped off at the compression seal point which was allowing oil to leak out. Just ran the car up to temp and no oil was leaking/spraying all over the place.

Also think i figured out why my car idled like crap. The damn tuner had the intake cam ignition timing advanced in vaccuum and was causing issues. reset the bottom two lines to 0 in Vac and the car idles like it did when i first got the haltech.

Now to figure out why the car when way lean after getting up to temp...
