because I know how I was with my Twin Turbo 300's and wanting to turn up the boost after I got acclimated. I'm hoping if I tell myself 500hp is my goal, I can get out around 600 when it's all said and done.

Everyone sets a goal, but when you get used to the boost, you always want more. I'mleaning towards giving myself room.

spool may be later but the power band is the same as a pl35r with 17.5 psi lbs of boost at 11 psi. ill post up a dyno sheet layered with our kit and pl35r kit.

I thought this was on pump gas and 100% meth injection? Correct me if I'm wrong.

nah I doubt that would be with meth. the should be no reason to run meth for that power level on pump gas.

It's cause on one of the posts the R34 injectors were maxed out on pump gas. Meth was the next step to see how much more they could squeeze out of them. That's why I was asking.

wait, i'm confused. How can it be the same power band if the power doesn't come on for 1000rpm later?

4000-6600 powerband is not the same as a 3000-6600 powerband.

am i totally off on this? For a set power (say 500) wouldn't the turbo that spools boost faster (therefore higher power sooner) have way more area under the curve as a turbo that produces same peak power but 1000rpm later in the revs?

amount of volume that the 4088 creates on lower boost compared to the 35r is quite an amount. ill post up the dyno chart first thing in the morning. we have alot of work going on around the shop so we really dont have time to be on the forums as much. ill make it a point to post it in the morning

oh, i get ya now. I was mixing in boost spool with torque curve in my brain.

Because they both would flow the same air at different pressures. For some reason i was interchanging them in my head. It's dark in there and information all looks the same

We had our baby girl about a week ago, so things have been kinda crazy. As soon as my lil momma is back in the swing of things and back at work, I'll be hollaring at ya'll.

I'm tempted to look at doing a simple bottom end build at the same time, 500 just seems so much more appealing.

beware, it's never a "simple" bottom end build. And if you want 500hp, all the work and cost isn't worth it over a stock block of 450hp. If you go built block, you're gonn invest a good amount of money so stopping at 500 isn't worth the cost to hp ratio.

where's that 580hp dyno? your sig says it so i'd like to see what that curve looks like at the 19psi. Sounds like a monster.

also, this was on meth?

^^^ yes this was on 100% meth and really no timing .... I haven't gotten a copy of the dyno sheet, were not done with it either one more mod and we will get final results .... Hopefully sometime this coming week I'm hoping we break the 600 barrier.... I'm dying to to see final numbers and drive it ....

with meth and a dynojet, those #s are inline with a single pump for sure. probably even has some headroom still

ya, DJ dynos read higher and with a properly adjusted meth injection setup it would be about 20% of the fuel needs so you can add 20% more fuel to that single walbro output.
