Let me know how you wire up the 2 step and if you guys going to make a wiring diagram as you did for the first one as far as wiring and selectable options with in the ecu for the different inputs.

Can't wait to get my hands on a production unit and start tweaking.

Will you be hosting the new Ecu SW updates on your site or do we get it directly from the Haltech site from now on? and is it already available to the public?

haltech has a nice AL vid on their website now as well.

can you take a pic of what the I/M monitors read using a hand held scanner with this setup?

nice to see haltech released a fix for their generic output for v1.10

Cruise control has been tested and is working like factory including dash indicators. Brake boosting also works. Complete idle, rev limiter, and speed limiter control! E85 flex fuel capability is built in! On-board data logging as usual! I am excited to test the new antilag and launch control features this weekend at the drag strip on my black 350Z. More to come soon...

SWEEEEET!!!!! Are you running a cable TB on the black Z?

Now for some DBW info too!!! Z's need to drop that small 70mm tb. Would be nice if it can be configured to work with the 90mm DBW TB's out there.

No, I run factory nissan dbw tb on my black Z. I believe this unit will be capable of handling other throttles such as LS per earlier conversations with the engineers. The trouble I see, is you need an intake manifold that has a larger throat to get the true benefit of larger tb.

Oh ok. That's what i want to hear! Hopefully this new dbw box coming can do the same!

Yeah the stock Z i/m is not that great with larger TB. Too small where the TB mounts. But that's not what i'm working with anyway. 09 Maxima motor FTW lol

Glad to see this is taking off now!

well since the production boxes were already used on customers cars to test run, not really the 1st one. I know that Crispeed doesnt own a greddy TT Z.

But considering far you have come since all your electrical and build issues, you should feel great!!

There is always a way! Well, maybe not if you have a 5AT. That would be a little harder... If I had a 6MT, I'd find some way around the NC regs. Cass007 was able to register his car as a show car for example... (not NC, but I haven't really looked at alternatives such as registering out of state). Somehow, each year, I pass despite all the crap on my car.

True enough. They've been testing these for months on Hals 6spd, more fuel and E85 is coming soon enough. Looking forward to it.

you'd imagine there has to be a hack for the Haltech. Its sending some sorta signal.

I thought VIN was also stored in the ECU (which the haltech wouldnt) and pops up when you plug into the inspection computer. That prevents people from hooking up other cars to get passed...

I still think people should try to pass inspection with this unit. I just cant imagine having to switch back to stock ecu for enough drive cycles so itll pass inspection. Talk about a huge pain, esp on a boosted car, what would you do with stock ecu ? keep it under 2k rpm? The car would probably run like crap and not even pass inspection.....

you would have to drive ~20-40 miles on stock ecu and complete the drive cycle stuff just so it would pass....

Until there is actual testing or Hal says this passes or fails. We do not know for sure.

WHY can we not get confirmation on this??? I looked at the plug in s2000 ecu forums some but didnt really see anything about passing.

Pretty sure VIN is not stored in the ECU, and if it is, then it's not used or compared on OBD2 tests.

If I remember correctly from Nissan/Infiniti school, the VIN is stored in the BCM not ECU.

Nice! Need to play with the new software using the basemap and see what other goodies are in there...

Hal, when I finally decide to install an aftermarket DCT, I'll be moving to this! (http://www.getrag.com/en/252)

being able to input the VIN is pretty sweet.

I think Hal is quiet on the OBD2 inspection because legally, it shouldnt pass, but seems like it will be able to "illegally"

just like every EMS is "illegal" for on road use.

Anyway we can get the base map for this ecu? I'm sure a lot of people would like to play around with it. I know i sure would!

I agree with what you are saying totally! That's why we can not say this will or will not pass right now.
