Default Looking for a metal 5/8" check valve for my oil catch can system

I want to put one inline inside the hose coming off my manifold to my catch can so when I boost it doesn't pressurize the whole system. I assume it would need to be metal and most likely a ball bearing style. Any suggestions on where I can find something like this? I have heard people mention it on here but just can't find where to buy something specific that can handle to heat inside a car engine. Thanks in advance

3/8" brake booster valve works fine (plastic).

McMaster Carr if you really want one. Parts stores should have them as well.

Doesn't the vacuum draw off the manifold make the catch can system more effective?

maybe at idle, but wen you are driving, theres not much vaccum anyhow, esp if you have a built motor with cams.

^ ???. When you let off, there's lots of vacuum - much more than idle. Obviously, if you keep your foot pressed on the accelerator all the time, then what you say is true...

i only smell my car when i am idling. i dont car about actually catching vapors since its not plumbed into the plenum. Although, my catch can fills with water quickly since i'm on E85.

Summit carries brass check valves... something like this might work for you? http://www.summitracing.com/parts/CTR-24-280/

that's -24inHG. I idle around -16inHG. Most of these check valves have a 1psi opening which would be 2inHG so -2inHG vac should open it easily.
