Another built motor Vortech dreamer thread.
Sucks to hear. Hope it turns out well which I'm sure it will with Bobby and CIN. Hope that block he took wasn't the spare rev up block I was suppose to buy and let him build on the side. Lol

Got some great news! Heads and block were picked up may 7th after they were dropped off on the 7th of jan. So 4 months to put together a block and some heads.
After the guys at the shop started to put things together, another issue popped up. The valves on the exhaust side are a nogo. Big gaps. After they talked to the machinist, found out that the heads weren't even touched until the day before pickup. So I don't know what the hell the problem is. Does it really take this long to do an engine? and on top of that have more problems? I really don't know cause im not a engine builder by no means, but something doesn't add up.
I normally would keep this to myself and friends, but I had very high hopes of taking the z to zdayz this weekend. Hell I even held off buying a stock complete engine or borrowing taywans spare cause we were supposed to have the engine back in time. I'm really so pissed that im at a loss for words. I will say that the guys at CIN are and have been taking care of me greatly.
Anyways, the heads were taken to another local machine shop. Said that the heads would barely hold a 10 in vacuum. Just waiting to see what the next step is after zdayz. Sucks I wont be in my z, but I will def be out there for the weekend in my wifes car. Just thought I would update my build

Looks like this build is finally coming back together. Got to take her out on the highway and do some pulls. Pulls just as hard as before. Going to be picking it up tomorrow. They are doing another oil change and putting in some new sensors. Going to make sure it's 100%. Been way to long and it's time to put some miles on it. Rpms on dyno are not accurate, car is revving to 7k.

Yeah me and taywan picked it up Thursday and headed straight to the track with the guys at CIN. Car is fast as hell but I need to get used to it again. I trapped 95 in the 1/8 but that was after blowing the tires off in first and second..Headed to the track again Thursday night. Car is a blast to drive. I should have some vids from this next drag day.

So, Meanz, make sure your shiz is secured well before racing, anything lose will get thrown around and lost.
I always took my passenger seat out and everything out of the back of the car when I would drag race my 350Z, prevented places for the randomness to go.

Josh, lets hit Coastal Plains dragway up sometime soon in Jacksonville. They run TNT on Friday nights. So we can get some cooler weather racing. I'll let you throw my slicks on for a couple runs!
