I'd run a 96/97mph 1/8th mile trap when I had vortech in my heavier G35. I only dynod 455/405.

96mph is not a 550whp trap.

Ended up being a 7.82@96 Same tires as before..

Well if I could get out the hole quick enough, my speed/time would be a bit better. I'm not the best driver when leaving the line and lose a lot of time. There is no doubt in my mind what I'm puttin down when after I've done some pulls with other 550hp to 600hp cars..I'm hoping to get some better tires soon and hopefully that will drop my time and up my mph a little.

You can not get enough info from an 1/8 mile track. str8dum1 says his 1/8 trap is 96/97, and mine is a little shy of 99. His 1/4 mile trap is 116, and mine is 127. Huge difference, as I have about or close to 100whp more than him, yet less than 2 mph difference at the 1/8.

Went back to the track.

1.97 60ft
5.2 330ft
7.74 1/8
97mph

This was my first run and best. Was a lot of down time all night. Still running my same street tires. Just about worn down to the wear bar. Prolly won't have the tires I want till it starts warming back up, but I've dialed my time down a good bit in the 1/8 without changing the setup. Just more seat time.

Little update.. Decided to pick up a 2.75 pulley. Did a little calculating and predicted to be at 17psi around 6400, and sure enough I was. At 7000 I hit 19. Pretty consistent. Side by side the 2.87 and the 2.75 look nearly the same. Was still able to use the same belt. Car feels like it picks up in the mid range a good bit more based off my butt dyno, lol. Will schedule a retune shortly and redyno on CINs dyno to see what gains were had..

Also I picked up a set of 300zx tt rear rims today. My friend is letting me borrow his Mickey thompsons to put on. I have a nice little grudge match against my friend in his 700hp+ gto coming up in a couple weeks.. I'm hoping to get out in front of him and stay out to the finish..

gto's cant fit any tire underneath. if he's really making 700+, good chance he'll just blow the tires off.

In Excel, Its easy math to model what any given pull change will do for boost, as boost is tied directly to engine rpm.

I modeled every pulley/cog with my setup and theoretical vs real was very close.

This is exactly what I'm hoping for. I helped him pull his stock engine out and sit his built one in. He doesn't have much seat time with the car yet either. The race will more than likely be on a 1/8 mile track if he can get his car 100% where he wants by then. Event is in 2 weeks.

Now I just need to get this fine tuned and see what she does on the dyno. Has anyone pushes a SI impeller this hard on our platform yet?

Wel for anyone following this and doesn't know, I ended up selling my blower less than a week after installing that 2.75 pulley. I ordered a TI trim blower about 25 days ago and still waiting for them to ship it out.. Hoping to get it by next year lol. I emailed dynosty about setting up a date the first week in feb for tuning.

My plan is to tune on a 3.12 pulley at first and see how well it does with the belt slip if it does slip. If that goes good, then Im pulling that pulley off and trying out the 2.87. Hell I might as well just go ahead and jump to the 2.87 first. I plan on contacting Tim soon for his strut bar. Trying to get everything together before I go for the tune.

Does anyone have a spare 3.12 pulley that they would sell cheap? I keep
Holding out for one in the market place but no luck.

Thanks, and yeah should be fun to see what I put down With the 2.87 pulley. I really don't know yet how high I'll take it, I was planning on running this pulley to 7k and maybe a second tune with the 3.12 to 7500.. But I may say screw it and run the 2.87 to 7500.

That black line is a marker they put over the bolt to to see if it moves or has been tampered with, for warranty sake and to make sure the it isn't turning.

I have to check those out a little more when I pull the intake piping back off. Looks like they are cuts into it.

I'm trying to get 650 out of this setup. This blower is good for 21psi at 7k with the 2.87.. Trust me, lol when I get the retune, I'll prolly try and push it up to 7500rpms..
