Another built motor Vortech dreamer thread.
Don't hate, and old man nailed it on the head, I didn't have 5-600 hp. I had about 300hp and did everything I could to the cars setup to make it launch. Never made a top 25 in any category of the drag section.

Went back to the track again with the hopes of pulling a 7.9 on these tires, but it didn't happen. Pulled another 8.0. I will prolly go back in a couple months when it cools down. Was very hot and humid last night. Hopefully have some tires by then that will hook up. I prolly ran 6-8 times last night. Car acted great, just traction issues. Car did hook once but it caught me by surprise and I bogged.

Took about a 8 hour round trip drive to Z1 motorsports. Traffic was crazy bad, should of been half that. I will say that the z was pretty good in stop and go traffic. Was hot inside due to no AC. Got to play a bit and car pulled great. Did a decibel test to see if my car would be quiet enough for the track. It pulled 126 decibels from about 50-100ft away. With the silencer it was 105. That track max is 98. Will prolly pass on this track day, mostly because I would need to take off time from work, get a hotel for 2 nights and still register. We are in the middle of closing on this house and don't want any extra bills at the moment.
Jacked the car up to look around and install my z speed shroud I got from cux and also prepare for the oil change. I found that a engine mount bolt that goes to the block had backed out a good bit. It had locktite on it already. I purchased some blue locktite and resecured it. Also found a little residue on outside of my pipes from BPV. Havent checked inside the charge piping yet. I am still running the stock BLV from vortechs kit. Im wondering which would be better. A second BLV on the other side of intercooler or just get a bigger one. I researched a little and see that v-8 guys use 2 on their charge piping. Anyone know of any reason a 2nd BLV wouldn't work as good or not better than a bigger one?

I also found a couple of drops of oil coming from the passenger side valve cover in the rear. It hasn't dropped yet, just forming a drop. May be from valve covers rattling loose. Havent checked yet. Kinda hot outside, so the z is just sitting on jackstands at the moment..
If it's seeping out the Bpv mounted on the intercooler I would check not just the charge pipe near the throttle body but check just where it leaves the blower down by the radiator for oil.

Well I pulled off charge piping coming directly from blower and for the most part it's pretty dry. You can feel a hint of a film of oil. But doesn't seem like anything catasrophic. I'll have to be easy on it or not drive it at all till I get this BLV off this..
