Another built motor Vortech dreamer thread.
Well I am glad to see you've come this far. I have been waiting on your results hahaha. Saw the new exhaust video. Get some revs in that bish!
I'm fairly certain I'm switching out my turbo for a vortech (dun dun dun), and have been contemplating things for the last few months. Although I'll be revving to 8k or a bit more... which means I can run a 3.33 for about 68k... Not sure if I want a v2 t trim and upsize the cogs to lower rpm a little, or let it hit 68k, or get a ysi... So fingers crossed for you man! I hope the TI does very well and keeps making power. You can always just get a small shot of the funny gas to drop the temps if it isn't making more power too.
And if I were you, get some id2000's. They're quite nice, and to be perfectly honest, the QC is a nice piece of mind.

Sorry guys, I was busy after work changing my lower control arm bushings. One was completely shot. Still have a clunk somewhere that I'm trying to track down. I took a couple pics after getting your notification old man, but they are kinda shitty. I promise I'll take some tomorrow when it's daylight still.
Don't let my shitty flame toasted bumper ruin the look for you guys. It fits great and is even on both sides. I need to do something about the bumper soon. My tomei kept my rear on fire pretty much.
Also as far as the price with out the test pipes, we never discussed it. I found out they were gonna start building this exhaust and i told them I wanted it. I asked about the test pipes and I was told they were included in my price. Which kinda surprised me because I got hooked up.

you check the lower control arm busing that connects to the front subframe? That one tends to fail with the control arm pulling off the bushing.
Swaybar night and tight??

Yes, we replaced both bushings on the lca. I've went through and re tightened everything so many times tying to find something loose. The sway bars are tight, but I might remove them to see if that's where the clunk is. I also have bushings for the compression arms that need to get done.

I can feel it in the front end kinda under my feet on both sides. Never with accelerating or decel. Only on turns or driveways. After the trip from dynosty I'm gonna do some more bushings and maybe eliminate it.

Thanks everyone. Be Leaving as soon as taywan gets free. Finally got my 34t cog. And of course they sent the wrong damn one. The shaft on the cog is longer just like the front serp pulley is on the front of the jackshaft. I was able to get a longed bolt and install it. Did some testing. At 6k i seen 18. That's 2 more than with the other cog. So I decided to run it on up.. I think I found the limit of my belt configuration because most I seen was 21 still. Oh and the smell of a slipping belt is nice! I checked the tension on my belt and it could definitely go tighter. I'll prolly tighten it down when I get to dynosty. My bumper is a pain in the *** to remove to get to the tensioner with this built in undershroud. Ill take both cogs just to be safe.
Hopefully I can get the belt tighter and see some higher numbers. Hell I still have a spair GTM pulley I could put back on the bracket for more belt wrap.

So, what is this info telling you?
Don't waist your time with the GTM, it does not address the problem causing belt slip.
Stop fighting it, you know what you need!
TIP: Drill an access hole in your BellyPan so you can adjust the belt without taking the car apart at all.

Yeah yeah, lol I hear you.. Little late now. If I would of gotten my pulley on time last week I could of maybe fixed this issue or had you send me out a rod.. But now with tuning tomorro, I'm out of time and have to hope tightening down the belt more fixes my issue or at least helps.

We are here at dynosty. Hal has been tuning on the z for a while now. Picked up 30hp over baseline on old tune. Most of the gains are above 5500rpms. Seeing some belt slip. Only hitting 20-21psi with this new cog. Numbers are low compared to what I dynoed on before at Cin. He did say that my numbers are kinda unheard of on his dyno with a blower. No final numbers yet, we all took lunch.
