Another built motor Vortech dreamer thread.
Take the belt up 1/2 turn.
We are here at dynosty. Hal has been tuning on the z for a while now. Picked up 30hp over baseline on old tune. Most of the gains are above 5500rpms. Seeing some belt slip. Only hitting 20-21psi with this new cog. Numbers are low compared to what I dynoed on before at Cin. He did say that my numbers are kinda unheard of on his dyno with a blower. No final numbers yet, we all took lunch.

Went from 502 baseline to 565 when finished. Little under 6500rpms @20psi. I am seeing slip obviously. Gonna try to cure this on my own this week. Gonna redyno on cins so I can get an accurate reading of my gains from the SI blower to this t trim.

Damn that sucks that your only seeing 20Psi at 6500. Are you going to move your rev limit up to see more boost once you get your belt slip fixed? Are you getting retuned at Cin or just dyno'd?

Rev is set to 7200ish. I'm seeing 22 on highway pulls.. Just dyno runs at Cin.. No more tuning.
Old man, are you supposed to be able to see the bracket flex? Columbo told me his moved s lot. But I didn't see any with mine.

Ya, at the 20psi the bracket is flexing. And Yes you should be able to see it flex under load. It's does not take much to cause belt slip.
When Driving how does the car feel compared to before?
Got a pic of the dyno? that will help.

Good Video.......Great to have.
Bracket is flexing Big Time.....
How to you plan to stop it?
I see you got the GTM pulley on.

Car feels like it pulls little bit harder up top for sure. Still seeing 22 on highway..

It is hard to see because the camera is moving.
But it flexes toward the front of the car.
It does not take much at all to get less tension on the belt and ten get belt slip.
When it flexes forward, it makes the distance shorter and then the belt gets loose.
You MUST have NO Flex at all.....
Let me help you fix it!

I don't have the dimensions right now but it's a vibrant intercooler rated to 850hp I think. Intake comes off the blower and goes through the core support. Big cone filter sitting behind the intercooler. I did see another setup that Iiked on triji car at dynosty that prolly gonna do.

If your that confident that it is flex, I'll take your strut. If I don't see an increase in boost, I'll send it back.. Really don't want to throw more money around I don't have.
I have watched the video 3 times, I could not see any flex.
I can't find the video and it is pissing me off, but there is a video of a ls swapped rx7 track car with a supercharger and he put a go pro in his engine bay while driving it on the track and that belt was going wild when he was pushing it. I think going for better belt wrap will be more beneficial than a rod to prevent flex.
