Wow, this is frickin awesome. Best of luck with this man. You rock! Hopefully, I will be able to do this in the future. I'm slowly building my mechanical skill level up to that point.

I would assume so. It's just connecting the UTEC to anything that's not a windows xp hyperterminal. I tried other programs in windows 7 and I could never get it to connect. I bought an old laptop with xp on it that won't even hold a charge for less than $50 and works great for the UTEC

Hmm if you used a windows 7 machine and had it run the program in "XP compatibility mode" I wonder if it would work for ya?

Last time I tuned on a Utec I used PuTTY instead of HT.

http://www.chiark.greenend.org.uk/~sgtatham/putty/

I also didn't need a serial port adapter or serial cable -- the UTEC had a USB port so I used a plain old USB cable and it showed up as a regular COM port in windows. Left it tucked up in the dash in case so I don't have to pull the UTEC down any more.

Car is back together with 6psi spring installed(instead of 5). Car feels slower than before. I didn't have wideband gauge hooked up so it may be fuel related, but my map should be good up to 10psi.

I've been driving my bike around lately when usually I barely drive it so maybe that's why it feels slow.

A/C line is also fixed, but can't run a sway bar with it(well I could, but I would have had to have the car down even longer to route the hose under the sub-frame) Honestly, I can't notice a handling difference. If I did auto-x I'm sure I could then

F it : ) Car pulled a 13.8 before turbo, so with that I'm assuming compression was good

Haha sweet, so bottom line if one were to go the budget semi reliable turbo route, would you suggest going threw same route as your self? Or world you change any of the factors involved such add tuning? Sorry to chew your ear of dude lol and I said f it too when I boosted my 140xxx ka24 240 on 8psi all day on a gt2871r ~~~ haha

I MIGHT have done a custom rear or midmount set-up instead.
I barely had to modify the tune to work since it's already on the UTEC website for this kit.

As far as the AFR goes it's fine and there are no knocks. Out of the box it was running too rich in boost. I only had to shift the entire map over about 2psi to fix the issue
