Sfr takeover
I just called Tim..He said "IT SHOULD"...I asked him to find out so he says he has to look at the pin layout and he will let me know tomorrow...
In the 30 minutes since I posted the last pics. Tim has fabricated a shock tower cover to match the passenger side...covers the ugly OEM wires, and gives me a nice anodizable smooth surface to work with...
Next is some "false" fender liners to cover the ugly plastic OEM crap and, again, to give me a new anodizable surface to work with...I can then cut holes in the OEM plastic fender liners to allow hot radiator fan air to escape while protecting the engine compartment components somewhat..
THEN next is a rear trunk mounted SS plate to cover the 2 bass speakers and an SS plate to cover the stock OEM plastic strut bar...will polish out like a mirror....
Tim is a MF master fabricator...(but a little slow at times)...

Hey Jen...well, it's actually ALUMINUM not STEEL( most items) so any weight difference is the difference in eating at Mcdonalds or not...LOL...Glad you like it though...the proposed SS in the trunk for the mirror polish is THIN stainless steel but I rationalize that as added weight to help traction...ha ha
Im not worried about max performance but building something unique, unlike off the shelf parts many people buy...that's just me.......
yea, some things ARE worth the extra weight...ask any of the women we do breast augmentations on every day if the extra 2 lbs is worth it..they paid 6G's for it!!

The red Haltech box will work on a 6MT or a 5AT DE or revup motor. Needs a special harness for HR. Works in conjunction with the stock ECU so you will want to keep your Osiris cable...
Thanks RC! Well DJ, if you want the haltech it's yours for the taking...first come first served.
By the way, RC, is your car out from dynosty? and how is everything with it?
I believe you switched to an MT with sfr burns headers etc etc?!?!

From what I understand, an agreed value is more desirable as you know what you will get if the car is totaled...the stated value supposedly begins depreciating from the moment the policy is written...I also have read that you can get about 75% of the modifications cost added to the value but not 100%.
I have also read that there may be some stipulations as to the mileage accrued, where the car is driven (car shows only) etc...
Allstate, state farm, progressive, rally, grundy.... all offer stated and agreed value insurance..
Heard GEICO doesn't like performance modifications and will cancel you and not pay if you try to collect.....Since I am OLD... 56, My insurance is already really cheap...about 2/3 the cost of my 27 yr old wife's..in an crappy Altima...LOL....

while we are putting things back together, Tim suggested larger K and N's than come with the GTM kits (4.5" dia base x 3.5" dia top x 5.5" height). to an offset design in the mounting aperature that allows you to spin the filter 360" in search of the best clearance....(6.5" base x 3.5" top x 7" long).
filter covers will be added as well. should help it breathe a little better.
See side by side pics of old filters versus new filters. Just a little longer and fatter at the base.

actually, I had the trans tunnel coated with thermotec silver foil...asked the guys at SFR to put some DEI gold where the downpipes were close to the frame and when I got pics from them, they had misunderstood and lined the trans tunnel AND where the downpipes were!...I have purchased quite a few of the 24 x 24 DEI gold foils for my w/m/b box and a few other things so, not really sure...I'd say 2 x 24 x 24 pieces would do it great...'bout 50 bux a sheet....
Oh and the catch can/powersteering can/bracket setup you were asking about was fabbed by Tim at SFR...all billet AL 6061 I believe...... will be anodized gold (cans) then either silver ceramic coated bracket or clear coated and polished....
