So you went from the worst pulleys to a pulley people use to rev to 8k+ and on huge HP builds.
Must be made of money lol
Haha, The Stillen Lightweight Crank pulley was a mistake, period. When I was NA I was finding every single way to get more power, as you know as a DE with Boltons, power is hard to come by, lmao.
Ehh, I'm not rich by any means, but life is not as hard when you make Rank in the Military. I just wish I spent money on parts with the knowledge I know now back then when the hardest questions i asked myself was which plenum spacer would give me more gains, lol.

Knocked out my Fluidampr Install today. Here are some comparison pics.
Ended up using the same belt I was using with the 3.12 pulley and Stillen Crank before, belt is a little more tight this time. Noticeable things I have seen is less vibration from the motor in the car and smoother idle, my idle before was jumpy. Ride is smoother. Didn't go WOT cause I was rushing home to help the wife. I will schedule a retune soon maybe next week or the week after.
Hey, I purchased one of those things awhile back, along with a new clutch on the advice of my stepson. I guess it was a good thing to do so. Still gathering funds for the new block I am looking to purchase in a couple of months.

Sounds like a great move to me! The Fluidampr self tunes itself to each vibration frequency from the motor. Its good insurance on your motor especially if you are making more power from FI which intensifies the torsional vibration under load and WOT.
Just a quick update, Tested the car on the highway going to work. I increased the methanol kit output pressure at the pump last night and got the AFR jumping between 11.1 to 11.7 with 13 PSI at redline, WOT from 3rd gear to the top of 5th. Pulled Hard, Butt dyno thinks its faster, but wont know what I am really making till I retune. Calling today to schedule hopefully Thurday night or Next week Monday. Since I was making 436/368 before im shooting for 450/376.

LOL what? Actually the car is running fine, no issues. Only Issue is that the only two Dyno service shops are either no longer in buisness or the tuner is no longer there. The pain of living on an island. I found out last week my tuner Ive been going to on the regular at RAD Motorsports left for Texas.
I bought the tuner addon and will be doing it myself, just waiting for it to be mailed to me. Scary and exiting, I know nothing of tuning but Im reading as much as i can on it, and I can still rent dynotime to see my changes. What im gonna do is download the tune files from the computer there on my flash drive and work from there and see what happens. Also bought some books from Amazon to read Like "Engine Management: Advanced Tuning" to help me out before takling this learning hurdle.
If It doesnt work out I will retune in Texas since i will be there in two months time.

Yeah that's a big jump! I don't have any magic words of advice other than do what you're doing. If you can still get on one of those dynos that would be huge help. Also I have bad mouthed tuners who used knock ears before, but in this case it wouldn't really be a horrible idea. Might not be totally necessary, but if you wanted that piece of mind you could get a set.

There are a few I saw online. I'll make sure to get some.
Haha, yea. I figure tuning would be a great skill to learn while I'm this deep in my car project. Oldman has been doing it for years with success with his car. What's stopping me or anyone else to learn? Read, study and make small adjustments at a time to see what happens. I'll be sure to post on the Tuning page on this forum with my data logs to ask for advice as well as bug Tim here and there, lol I'm sure he won't mind that much.
The only thing that Stops people from learning something new like "Tuning" is: The stories you tell yourself.
Like: I'll never be able to learn that, and if I try I will blow up my car. Besides Pro Tuners went to school and have been tuning cars for a long time. I just better not take a chance.
Do you guys know just how many so call pro tuners are out there, that have no idea how to really tune a motor. Most of them.......
And that's the scary part, Tim. If my motor blows, I definitely dont want to pay someone to do it. Even worse not knowing what was changed in the tune that could of been why my motor failed. I want to know what they know, and learn even more, and save my money.
Best of luck with your new adventure, I have the tuner version but I bought it so my "pro tuner" could tune my car. I need to learn how to tune so I can try to save my self a lot of headaches and hassle.

Thanks! I'm sure I will be fine. Running straight meth, I shouldn't be knocking at all, even now with the added boost the Fluidampr is giving me being a bigger crank pulley. Also helps that I have a progressive controller from Coolingmist which increases duty as boost increases. I'm gonna take small baby steps from the current tune till I understand fully what is happening after each change upon reading and doing some more research first.
