G35 Build 2nd Try-33540737_2036923559669859_92255901813047296_n.jpg

This seems excessive for still trying to break in the engine...But idk going to try to get a hold of the shop and have them look at the pan to see if i need to worry.

Ok so its not the rear main, its the upper pan rear gasket. I had to do a little more digging i thought the rear main and that was one and the same.

#1 is what i need replaced.

The shop said it should only take a few hours to replace but they are booked full for a few weeks. They also don't know when the tuner Slowpoke Tuning will be back in town, so that kind of sucks.

At this point, after the car has been down for soo long, a burnout would be enjoyable and well deserved, NA or boosted. Good luck!

Well had a Major fail on my part today, i failed to properly burp the coolant system so no dyno time until i get back from my TDY. Tomorrow the car will come home and i will drain the water out of the system and fill it and bleed it correctly.

I was able to drive it from the shop to work to park it and it runs good and pulls decent from what little i did.

So when i get home from this work trip, i will be getting a spill free funnel and putting the car up on ramps to get air out more efficiently.

I also went ahead and bought new oem forward inner fenders and a oem under tray to try and help keep things cool.

Im thinking i want to get a kinetix manifold to help my upper rpms power not fall off (hasn't seen dyno yet.) and to help heat soak.

Ok WTF am i doing wrong?

Drained the coolant to put in the proper 50/50 mixture in, bought a spill free funnel
https://shop.advanceautoparts.com/p/...Fc--wAodQyUIrw

Opened the valve on the heater core return to let the air out while filling the coolant.

Once fluid came out i closed valve and continued filling it until the radiator was filled.

Hooked up the spill free funnel and let it run so it could burp. Watched it burp a good bit while letting it run for a solid 15 mins.

I did this two or three times everytime it still gets hot.

I also disconnected the funnel and let it run with the coolant reservoir filled about 3/4 the way up. Once i let cool back down the reservoir was about half way filled.

So it looks like it pulled some of the fluid into the the system.

Anyway i just drove it to see if it was still getting hot and once i came home a parked it it started to get hot again.

The whole time the car has been at a decent incline so, no idea how to get the rest of the air out of the fcking system...............

Looks like the car may not get tuned Wednesday.

TLDR: Can't get all the air out of the system and i'm lost.....

^I'd set it aside for a few hours, go relax, take your mind off it and come back to it to re-bleed. Possibly put the front end up on some jack-stands.

Right now the car in the drive way which has a very good slant, its also on some ramps to give it some more angle.

once its cool ill put the stupid spill free funnel back on it, and see what happens.

Don't know if this will help, but put the car back on a level grade. Unscrew the heater hose bleed valve and slowly and gently squeeze the upper rad hose until the coolant just starts seeping out the bleeder hole. Keep the same pressure on the upper hose ( you don't want the coolant level to go back down) and screw the stopper back in the bleeder valve. You can keep an old rag under the bleeder to catch the overflow. Open the rad cap and give the upper rad hoses a few quick squeezes. You have to be careful to not let the coolant spill out of the rad so you will likely have to experiment with speed and pressure. Usually, a couple rogue bubbles will pop out. Keep an eye on the coolant level and keep it topped off. Start the car and let it idle. You will know quick if it is going to work or not.

This is how have I bled my system the last few times and seems to work for me.
