Well do to some miss communication the car still hasn't been touched. They have been waiting on my approval to work on the car. They sen't me a E-mail stating what was wrong with the car but i either deleted it or it was never actually sent. But I just got my quote for now so hopefully i'll have it in work next week just need to put half of it down for now.

Car is "done" but the oil Is supper milky and runny. They said it smelled like fuel so they sent some off to get tested.they recommend in change the oil before I try to start it or do anything else with it. So I did and this is what came out.
G35 Build 2nd Try-20180210_122433.jpg

They told me it looks like I have/had an injector that was just pouring fuel and it got passed the rings. They recommend me getting my injectors flow tested and matched, I'm still on the fence about it, but I'm just a novice so I'll probably fork out the $120 to get my other set of stock injectors tested.

I put some new oil in and let it run for a few minutes, still a little runny but nothing like that. I'll change the oil one more time and well see what it looks like.

But on a very good note, after changing the battery and putting the canned Haltech tune it starts right up. Looks like my battery was causing all my problems.

Jeez man that looks like coffee creamer. Coolant was still looking ok?

If fluid is going passed your rings, I would just get another compression test done. That don't seem normal honestly inho.

Depending how long the fluids say it would works its way sooner or later. That is a ton of fuel tho. That's at least a gallon

But either way, that's not a healthy motor.

Tomorrow I'm going to go change the oil in the car, then drive it the 30 miles home. Once I get home I'll check the oil again. If it's good I'll do my compression check and press on if it's bad i have no idea potentially light the bastard on fire and watch it burn to the ground!

I know you have been though it with this car.

Just seems like you mechanic has a sh!tload of excuses. But I know how that is as I had to pay an extra $1,000 for my guys to drop the trans a second time because the flywheel I provided them, that I got on sale somewhere else, had incorrect style of 'Teeth.'

Good Damn Luck!!

rather delicate balance of being understanding and willingness to work with your shop and being a d!ck to get **** done right and on time...

I don't have any horror stories other than ~4 month turn around on a guy dropping in my IPP block and reassembling my procharger ... so I empathize...

Keep going Conway! This will be quite possibly the most gratifying thing you see through...

G35 Build 2nd Try-20180216_092617.jpg

So this is the oil I just drained, it has roughly 2 mins of run time on it. As you can see there is still some greatness in it but in going to say that is from what was left in the pan from the last oil change.

Now some more "good" news....the car is back to not starting and my laptop won't connect to the ECU. If I remove the Redbox the car runs but since there is no forward O2 sensors I can't drive the car home on the stock ECU since it starts to get very lean.

So looks like I get to send in my ECU in to Haltech and maybe they will tell it's repairable.

Still waiting on the results of the oil test..also my Piggy Back ECU is about to get more miles on it in the next few weeks than my car has seen in 5 years. The Haltech has to be shipped to Australia to get looked at. Should have that back in a week or two.

Well unless a miracle happens it appears USPS has lost my oil sample "or it was never sent one out" so I'll never know what was in my oil :-( . But i have my own oil sample kit on the way so I'll send out my own sample once i get the kit.

The car should be home tomorrow since they are currently not working on it and have no space to store it unless i want to pay them $25 a day...

So it looks like i'll have a chance to do a compression test later this week.

So when doing a compression test what is the 15% difference based on? Is it 15% of the average compression, lowest compression, highest compression? My low is 155psi and my my highest is 170 average is 164.

I did an 3 sets on each cylinder and this is the average of those:
Front
Driver Passenger
161 170
160 171
156 158
Back

This was on a cold engine!!!

Nvm, redid test with wife and held it until compression maxed out on each cylinder. 1,3,5-185psi. 2,4-180psi. 6-175psi. So there is like a 6% difference

So I took of my lower pan and it was nasty! I went and rented a coolant system pressure tester and when I pressurized my coolant it starts dripping out of my lower pan :-(
