Well today i order 10' of -8AN steel braided fuel line, A -8an in -6an out Y, the CJM quick disconnect, and some misc hardware. So hopefully next week i'll have my new fuel line ran and my FPR hooked up ready to go.

I went ahead and adjusted my fuel injector scaling, getting very close to getting my tune scheduled.

Installed my new -8 fuel line today. I also noticed i still.can't get my fuel pressure to drop below 60 psi. Upon further investigation i think my problem is the swirl jet in the basket. I have it drilled out to a .080 for my old 255 but that seems to be to small for my 485. According to CJ-M i may want to jump up to a .110, which i will do tomorrow and report back

Good news! I drilled my swirl jet out to 7/64 or .109 and my fuel pressure dropped down to~ 45psi. Adjusted my FPR to bring it up to 53 psi.

Now i need to upload my new map with the correct fuel injector flows and see how it acts.

Question for all my vortech owners, how much trimming did you have to do on your driver side cam access plate to get the belt to not hit?

Happy it's working out. While my car is 'mostly' down, I'll drill mine out too.

Any pictures?

Well today went just about how i expected to day to go.

Tune time was set for 10am CST, welp my dumb *** failed to realize i also live in CST so what do i do leave my house at 9:45 to head to dyno thinking i have over an hour to get everything set up. Received a message from Admin Tuning you read to tune? Thats when it dawned on me we live in the same time zone, and i had royally F-ed up the appointment as i had told dyno shop it started at 11.

Welp after getting everything strapped down and what not we ended up starting the tune at 11am, i feel like a complete bum for messing that up.

Now for the good part:

Everything went amazing on the dyno.

We noticed that i'm getting a little belt slip up top but this is just a Auto Zone $30 belt so once i get a better belt that will help also looking at getting a bracket brace to stop the bracket from flexing like OldMan Z recommends.

Final Numbers were 542whp 457wtq at 14* timing.

Well this is where things went from fun a h3ll to super sh!ty. On the way home went to do a pull and something went pop and whole lot of white smoke....My heart stopped! Did this really just happen.

Popped the hood coolant is EVERYWHERE and the headers are on fire...Thankfully i had a gallon of water so i was able to put out the fire.

Had to call the wife and tell her what just happend she's not too happy (she won't admit it but i heard it in the voice) and tell her ii'm going to need a ride after i figure out WTF i'm going to do with the car.

Radiator is empty so i try to put some water in it and start it so i can figure out where the water is coming from. Car starts thankfully but coolant just pours out of the radiator so looks like i put a hole in it some were.

Well after talking Security Forces i was able to get in one of the gates so i could park the car on base. Huge shout out too those two Airmen!

Once i got it parked on base i got out out with the car still running so i can look for more leaks and noticed my radiator was smiling from ear to ear....

So now i'm looking for a radiator.

This leads me to believe one of two things happend: 1 It's was just tired and didn't want to live any longer or 2 i popped a head gasket and all the pressure grenaded the stock plastic caps.

More to come

L19's with Cometic, its what builder always uses.

Moved the car today to get to qh³ere i work and it runs fine so that's a huge relief! Now to get new radiator installed so i can drive it and see if anything broke.

It’d be really unlikely that you pushed coolant at that power level w/L19’s; hopefully you’re just an aluminum radiator away from getting back on the road and in boost!

Once i get it home, ill.do a compression test and possibly a leak down to be on the safe side.

I will possibly need to find a way to prevent my BOV from messing up my radiator fins.

Are you going to use OEM fans with your new rad?

Can I convince you to go with a single 12" or 14" fan rather than OEM fans? Much better passive airflow!

I have a single auto zone 14" it's double the flow of the oem fans. Its also the only way i could run the 3" piping.

I reckon coolant just splashed all over your headers and caused the smoke. The block probably isn't leaking.

Well received some goodies today...

This bad guy looks amazing! It's also like twice as thick as the MT G35 OEM Radiator.

Not sure if i need this or not but to be on the safe side i wen't ahead and ordered a new high pressure radiator cap.

HUGE HUGE shout out to Bealljk for shipping me a new MAF harness, TB Harness, and Driver Side Cam Postion Sensor Harness!! Not sure if i damaged any of the internal wires but i cooked the plastic outer coating.
