Well i decided to just order the adapter plate instead of modding my v+ plenum.

Maybe I missed something but if your using a adaptor plate that tapers back to stock size doesn't that pretty much eliminate any gains you would have seen with the larger opening? Maybe the taper creates velocity?

Unless you adapt the larger tb to fit and port your plenum and have a large intake and tuned for it. I feel that this mod is a waste.
But what do I know I just have a slow Z

A 75mm throttle body is not a 75mm tube. Consider that, at WOT, there's still a bar going across. By cross-sectional area, the 75mm throttle body is still smaller than a 70mm ID tube. And that's the short version which ignores fluid dynamics.

My email to NWP. Hope they come out with one for hr Z

Just wondering if there is any plans to make a kit for the 350z hr 2007-2008. Theres a lot of hype and good reviews going around for your product and I believe that it will sell very well.

Chad,

Thank you for your interest. Yes, I also think a properly designed Big Bore TB Kit for the HR could work great. We don't have any plans to produce one for the HR right now, but that could change in the future.

Please let me know if you have any more questions.

Thanks,

Aaron Kimball

I wonder if you can shape that bar. make it thin as possible, keeping it as strong as it needs to be.

sure, but the fact still remains. If your tubing is X interior diameter all the way through, the TB is still a bottleneck because of that bar.

Glad somebody finally mentioned it!

The fact that the bar there may even be worse since it introduces turbulence...

Just received mine this afternoon. And as I suspected it doesn't fit on the Z-tube my G has.

What are all the rest of ya'll using. Because if I can't figure something out tomorrow I'm going down to Summit and picking up a silicone hose reduce. 3.000in to 3.250 inch. Unless I'm mistaken somewhere. Please speak up.

It works fine. Back the worm drive clamp out all the way. Start the Z-tube at the bottom, leaving the top last. You are stretching the tube a bit, but its' not terribly difficult.

Yup it worked. Idling now in the garage... going to log a few runs and see how it really acts.

also used a little wd-40 on a paper towel to help lube it up a little easier.

Quit whining, if that is what you want, buy one and spend the $$$ to do it yourself. Till then you have to wait for someone who is willing to spend the $$$, wait for NWP to swing the bill for one of us or pay for one of us to hit the dyno.

Remember, results will be different on most cars. Different manifolds, different headers etc etc.

No dyno shops around me. Nothing wrong with waiting for independent results.

the 75mm TB complimented my S2 cams well, my Cobb intake tube barely stretched over it

Then put on factory TB, get baseline, install new 75mm TB, tune, and compare numbers. Problem solved. Just talk with the shop and explain, "hey you guys would be an instrumental help to the Z community by helping me compare the factory TB and this new 75mm." Tell them you'll put the shop name on the forum and that they'll get all kinds of business from the Z community. And if they don't feel like helping swap the TB, then just tell them bad news travels faster than good (while squinting your eyes like your squeezing out a fart).
