Aren't most heat shields metal?

You could get some aluminum and maybe put a wrap or coating on it to reflect heat.

Greyz don't take this in a bad way but if I was CIN and it took me 8+hours of tuning for the new intakes the last dam thing I would do is "share" a base map or even a part of it. Also commenting again on my opinion but doubt they will do a group by since it won't be mass produced it would be one guy fabbing cutting and welding all himself. It's not like an exhaust where a tribe full of kids in China made 1500 or more of them

yeah BM! where you got that gtr manifold conversion stashed? coming up with some great ideas
id maybe consider the 2k6 m45 tb, it tapers down from 80mm to 75mm. maybe just bore it out and just go 3' all the way through.

good luck on the Maxima09 TBs ... I had mine for well over a year ,, still not installed yet ;/ Blowing an engine suck then military life isn't always a good timing...

I gained quite a bit of power few years ago with an oversized CAI & TB, I always knew there was quite a bit more left on the intake side

According to a 370 thread kingbaby posted. Mounting a gtr mannifold isnt just a simplr bolt on affair.

Im going bigger with tomei 272`s. Ppe`s are already in. 150 for the intakes sounds dirt cheap. I paid more then that for almost new nismo intakes a long time ago!

Are the maxima tb`s straight bolt on?

To jiggy.
The tbs harness is the same, but the bolt holes no. The hr tb seems to have quite a bit of distance between the bolt holes though. If they line up with the de tb, you could use the nwp adapter bracket; then run either the 2k9 maxima tb (75mm tapers down) or the 2k6 m45 tb (80mm tapers down). Then get either of them bored out, my vote is for the m45 tb, that way it's 3" all the way through.

If any of you are willing to post pics of measurement on one of your hr tb, I would gladly measure my stock de tb, and see if the nwp tb will work for the hr.

From speaking to a guy on fb last night (redline06), larger tbs without changing the manifold would be pointless because the hr mani can not be bored at all.

They also said that over sized intakes wouldn't show gains for along while around here.

I'd call motordyne to see if their m370 Im would work for you guys. Or get real sassy and make the gtr manifold fit. I read the thread about it awhile ago, but it can be done. What was it fuel rails, bolt holes, and some other stuff. That doesn't sound impossible. Maybe expensive, but a used mani goes for around 900$ or you can buy an after market one. I mean compared to an exhaust if it came in under 2g and made the same power itd be worth it right? And great if you ever went boosted.

I'm not saying anything bad about redline06, I hope it didn't come off that way!

I will say other car platforms have put larger tbs on stock Im and have seen gains, that's all.

NPR,

The 2k9 maxima and 2k6 m45 are one in the same, per NWP. They both start at 80mm and taper to 75mm. Just the m45 doesn't have the coolant lines like the maxima.

If I can find the links or pics, Ill show you that the 2k9 tb starts at 75mm and tapers down to 72mm.
