Default TCS OFF and SLIP Light... Help....

Hi, first off it is a 2004 touring.... I recently installed a audio system including a in dash tv....

Heres the problem..... this has happened twice..... while driving normally just cruising.... the tcs off and slip light come on and stay on .... at which the car will not throttle...... ..... i shut off the car ...... then restarted it and it went away...... what the duece is wrong.... any ideas.....

Also, can i take the car to the dealership for warranty work even though i have installed a audio system ? ....... i have a 100,000 mile warranty so i want to get it fixed by the dealer if I can.....

Or, is there any way to turn off tcs completely......? so this wont happened.....

Check under your driver side wheel well.. I had a problem where my wheel sliced up some of my wiring...... This is a wiring problem bro.. Trust me on that..

You drive an automatic touring with TCS? Sounds like the car is going into a “limb mode.” Cant tell why without a diagnostic test.

Limb mode is a safety feature: the car literally shuts down because of a problem. An example is a serious timing problem. The 350Z will go into a limp mode to protect the motor from potential damage.

Not sure. A TCS problem will also shut down the car. I have a hunch that it is not TCS.

Check this thread:
https://my350z.com/forum/autocross-road/300169-abs-control-unit-malfunctioning.html

I had the same problem, and I believe it has to do with installing a stereo and not have it ground properly. My car was out of warranty, so I had to find someone to fix it. Details can be found in the above thread.

Is there a way to turn off TCS and keep it off (like for more than one car ride)? I can turn it off but after turning off my car it turns it back on. I have an 03 manual basic version Z.
