Gf went to Chicago on business trip.
Came back and bought me the newest Option magazine with mostly Nissan Z stuff inside.
Damn she's awesome

I blew through a set of pads in less than three 20 minutes sessions on the track and my passenger side caliper seized up. I was not happy.

When I go to Tokyo, I always stop by the magazine shop and try to pick up Z magazine. It's all in Japanese so I just look at the pictures and web addresses. Lot's of stuff we don't see over here. (Like ARC products.)
I'll bring a few with me to the next install party.

the 2 drag wheels are sold.

ok here are they wheels and tires.
the pic with the 4 wheels: the 2 on the right are 17x7.5 wrapped in bridgestone potenza all season 225/50/17. about 50-60% tread life left.
the 2 on the left are 17x8.5 wrapped in bridgestone blizzak snow tires 235/50/17. these tires have less then 1 winter on them. about 95% tread life left on them.
the last 2 are 16x8 rims wrapped in mickey thompson e.t. streets 26x10.5 street legal dot approved drag tires.

Superior Township is nice. Very close to Ann Arbor. The downside is that even though the housing market values have crashed, anything close to Ann Arbor is still (in my opinion) higher than it should be. Quite often you can net a larger house for same or less money if you go out of the Ann Arbor area by 5 miles. For example, Pittsfield Township has very nice houses, Ann Arbor schools but not Ann Arbor level taxes. This is why we elected to live in Yspi Township. Much cheaper.
Keep an open mind if you are still looking. You might be surprised what you find if you open it up a little.

Completed Brake Bleeding by myself
WOOT 
I finally completed the brake bleeding all by myself today. I was scared to do this by myself and was looking for someone to watch me over. Someone I met at the track was supposed to come help me but he never showed up.
I said screw it and did it myself. Glad it went well, now the tools I bought are almost paid off I was surprised how easy it is once the wheels are off. I used a Motul Power Bleeder and the bleeding part took no more than 15-20 mins for all 4 wheels. The part to put the car on jack stands and taking the wheels off and putting them on is a b1tch. I have decided to buy a Dewalt Impact Wrench sometime before next season starts. Then these brake bleeds should be a cake walk.
Also, I bought a second jack from walmart to raise the car from both sides. Man, it was crappy as hell. I am glad I returned the first one without using. Even this time I just returned it and used the Craftsman one that I have now. It was a bit running around but I was able to put the car on 4 jack stands after about 30 mins.

Good job. I knew you could do it yourself. I know it is intimidating at first to do these things..but you got it.
As far as the impact wrench.. I usually break the lugs loose with a tire iron and use an electric drill with socket end to loosen the lugs all the way off. When putting the lugs back on I start them by hand then use the drill to speed up the tightening process... then use the 80ftlb torque wrench when the car has been lowered back down.

I will be needing the impact wrench when I get the dedicated track wheels set. That also will happen sometime before the next season starts. If all I am doing is brake bleeding I wouldn't have thought about the impact wrench. The Dewalt one I am looking at has got really good reviews and is about 260.
