December 26 track day at Laguna Seca

Just an update to let you all know that our December 26 track day at Laguna Seca is ON and will not be cancelled. We still need about 20 more drivers to break-even financially, so any help that you can give by promoting our event to friends, enemies, or other clubs will be appreciated. We are accepting beginning drivers in the Novice group and will provide some informal instruction for them.

For all you boyz saying you can't because you'll be out of town (or if the GGLC event gets canceled), join us at Laguna Seca on Monday and/or Tuesday, 12/22-23 with Greenflag: www.greenflagdriving.com. This is a great group - always with a good mix of cars (Z32s, Z33s, S30s, R35, and those German things).

GGLC 2008 Track Day #5 - Dec 26th - Mazda Raceway at Laguna Seca
Come join the Golden Gate Lotus Club for this open track event at Laguna Seca Raceway December 26, 2008
You do not need to own a Lotus to attend this event. We run our events totally non-profit and you will not find a better price for a full day on the track. You do not need to own a Lotus to attend this event. Price is $245 for non-GGLC members and $225 for members. You can purchase a yearly membership for $25. There is also an Early Bird discount of $10 if you register by November 25.
This event will be limited to a total of 3 groups of 25 cars. Two of these groups will be with open passing. One group will be with restricted passing. The groups will be classified as follows:
NOVICE GROUP
Passing without a point-by will be limited to the 3 long straights. Passing in other sections (including turns) is allowed with a point-by from the driver being passed. Previous track day experience is recommended but not required for this group. Some informal instruction will be offered to first time drivers.
INTERMEDIATE GROUP
You must have at least 5 previous track days experience. Passing without a point-by will be limited to the 3 long straights. Passing in other sections (including turns) is allowed with a point-by from the driver being passed.
ADVANCED GROUP
You must have a minimum of 20 track days experience. Passing without a point-by will be allowed everywhere except through the corkscrew.
Laguna Seca enforces a strict sound limit of 92 db.
This event will run rain or shine. There will be no money back cancellations. If you need to cancel and we can fill your spot, then we will offer you a rain check for a future event.
We will not conduct a tech inspection on your car. You are soley responsible for the safety of your car.
Some experienced drivers will be available to help the inexperienced ones. Although informal instruction will be offered, this is NOT a driving school and it’s up to the individual drivers to request assistance.
Open top cars must have a roll bar. Factory installed roll bars are OK. Open wheeled cars will be allowed in the open passing group.

We will close registration at 75 cars. I suggest that you enter early to insure a spot. This event will almost certainly sell-out.

GGLC MEMBERS: When you initially register with MotorsportReg.com you be asked to "Enter your membership number for the Golden Gate Lotus Club or N/A". Type in "N/A" in that field.

You can also enter via mail. Print a copy of the entry form and follow the mailing instructions. There is a $10 handling fee for mail-in entries, be sure to add $10 to the listed entry fee.
