What are you talking about, there are alot of cars out there running the UTEC. Plus there are alot of kits out there that are selling this as there engine management.

For a while? It's been like 2 years since any updates to the unit. There are still some things that don't work right in it, and they haven't added any of the "promised" features from when they first released it.

I would agree, it looks like the 350Z UTEC has fallen off of TurboXSs radar.

Mine work for both but no RPM... lol I was able to make the RPM work with 3.4beta but after few pull the RPM goes away. I'm not sure if it is my USB acting up though. Either way the Beta is not ready for prime time yet.

neither beta 3.4 or 3.5 is working correctly, I can hyperterminal into both utec and aem wideband but cannot get the uti to work correctly. Really getting frustrated. Might have to try the older version again.

FOR THE FIRST TIME EVER DASHBOARD WORK ON 2.75!!! I just got my Tuner Reg installed and I'm connecting via Tuner and I was able to connect using Dashboard mode. I'm so happy that I was able to log IAT and coolant temp. I don't care about 3.4 or 3.5 beta anymore... lol !!!! I don't know why Dashboard mode don't work for me when connecting straight to Utec

Yes, they promised a lot of things near two years ago, and nothing became true (launch control, flat shift, graphical GUI...)

It's pretty useless to contact them. I emailed them a month ago about a map sensor that isn't calibrated correctly and of course they never emailed back. They are a poorly run company and I have no desire to purchase anything from them again.

If my memory serves correctly they never added a single "promised" feature.

Of course, not all of the "included" features work right, like the boost controller. I believe I'll be buying a boost controller in the near future....

I'd never trust that to software like this, may as well call it the "Boost/Kill Your Engine" Control. It's as bad as the old style boost "dial-a-dead-motor" switches that allowed you to dial in more boost than the motor could handle, total dumb switches.

Why is that?

You are already trusting your timing and fuel to the UTEC. I figure if I can trust my timing with it, why wouldn't I trust a simple PWM output for boost control?
