I check those boxes to include in the log output, but it doesn't show up. It can only be done through Dashboard mode I believe, which doesn't work for me.

In the "FILE" menu at the top left of the UTI screen, click on the "mode" button. it wil give you a side bar choice of "logger 1" or "dashboard". choose "dashboard"

+1 Dashboard never worked for me with just the Utec. It only work if I'm using the Tuner to log.

I do. I have the TXS Tuner regular.

 

i just installed it last night keeps locking up then the program quits working. unstalled it then restalled and so on it works for awhile then frezzes up i think i wasted 24 bucks going back with the utec logger at least its reliable.or maybe he will fix the bugs in the software

 

Have you ever log just using Utec without the Tuner? Majority of the people here don't have a Tuner and majority of them can't use Dashboard Mode. I was one of them until I started using the Tuner. Try to plug in your laptop straight to Utec and let us know if you can switch to Dashboard mode with Ver. 2.7.

 

What Version are you using? I had so many problem with the beta 3.x so I decided to stick with 2.7. If you have a Tuner then 2.7 does the job without any problem or error. I just don't see the benefit of switching to a buggy Version when the old one does what it is supposed to do, and it does it very well!!

 

using the newest one I guess. I have already deleted the uti-3 just going to stick with logging with utec more reliable and I have the tuner pro. It's like only half the program works I think jeff needs to get things sorted out instead of selling half azz programs. I would like it if it were to all work properly. The Utec logger works great it might be in black and white and a little old school but easy to understand. And I could not find any useful info on the jeffsoftware forums WTF. I might give it another try though....

 

If you have the Tuna then I highly recommend using the 2.7 since that has been very stable for me. Installation is a little weird but once you have copied the file to the right location then it is great. UTI just has to many bells and whistle not to be used. With Ver. 2.7 I can log my IAT, Coolant temp and not to mention it does auto logging for you. I also love the Audible since it beeps when knock is detected, coolant temp goes to high, reach pre-defined redline limit...etc. trust me you will love UTI when it works so try Ver. 2.7...

 

i wonder if people are having issues because of using the usb connection. I use the serial connection on the UTEC, and all is great. I do use a usb-serial adapter on the laptop end, though.

 

Are you talking about the utec Version 2.8? I totally dig the dashboard and the audio knock but no coolant temp and so on. If you are talking about the utec 2.8 to 2.7 I might give that a try.

 

I have used 4 different Laptop from very old with Serial and 1.1 USB and to my new IBM X60 using USB and straight Serial, I also used one of my new Dell big A$$ wide screen Laptop and all of them failed. I think there is something different on code Output with Utec vs the Tuner... All I know is that Dashoard work with the Tuner but not with Utec...

 

Were can you download the 2.7 version ? I think turbo xs site only has 2.8 for download..

 

Not sure if it is 2.8 or 2.7 but what ever version before the 3.x... I dont care about the coolant temp either but being able to log your IAT is very valuable since you need that to adjust your Temp Compensation table..

I have tried both versions couldn't get the older version to work but got everything on the dashboard working and the logger 1 but it still locks up and glitchs and the ME software does not work. Waste of money not reliable hope you guys have better luck then me. Oh yea I am connecting through the turbo xs tuner it will not work at all through the utec it self they half to be hooked up together.
