Its only the dashboard that has no RPM, logger -1 does so logging is fine.

When the UTEC was released they promised to include in a future software release, VTC control (cam phasing), speed limiter removal, drive by wire control... why none of this features has being released?

why? I guess because they do not see this as a hindrance to there sales I would say... honestly I would think that they have sold enough of these that they could invest a small amount into development of software here, I mean if an enthusiast can develop something in there spare time & as a hobby that's better than the official software this is sold with, that's pretty sad to begin with.

really is a shame that they don't develop something nice... the software is probably one of the biggest complains & drawbacks of this unit.. with great software this would def be a great piece, they have the resources & the budget would be pretty insignificant compared to the benefits they would see, but I guess they don't see it that way?

I've been hearing about Nissan limiting the throttle to less than 100% in the drive by wire setup, anyone know any specifics of this? is this a constant occurrence or just under certain circumstances? I know technosquare claims to circumvent this with there re flash, only thing is they do not have data for every ecu & only they ones they "have covered" are available for this... technosquare offers a thing called a limited tune, that will just raise trans pressure, alleviate the throttle limit issues & raise the rpm limit, no fuel or timing map alterations with there limited tune, but at $349 retail, that's a perfect compliment to those running a piggyback system like this... just a little FYI, don't know if this is common knowledge or not here really...

Ok....so with the UTEC and Innovate LC-1 wideband, what version (if any) of UTI will allow me to log IAT along with the wideband reading?

Once I get my wideband back from being fixed/replaced, I need to start doing some more tuning along with playing with the temperature compensation. I thought I had a decent, but rich, tune before, with conservative timing (TN timing map pulled back 1 degree above 5250). But I'm getting some knock sometimes when the car gets pretty warm.

I had the Innovate as well and it locked up all the time. So i bought a TurboXS wideband and now its fine. I tried my Techedge wideband as well with the same lockups.

I just don't think the software plays well with non TurboXS widebands.

i just played around with uti3 and it seems buggy. i had issues with it not reporting to the TABLES. could this be a vista issue.

also, i noted that the rpm doesn't work on dashboard. I see that others reported that too.

I think I should just stick to 2.75 for now.

Have there been any updates to UTI3 yet. I don't seem to receive update emails from jeffsoftware anymore.

I just reported the same issue. I'm sure Jeff will work on the fix. HE is always on top of his programs!

That's odd - I have 2.75 on XP with an Innovate LC-1 and it's working flawlessly (minus not being able to log in dashboard mode).

NEWS to REPORT -

Jeff (the UTI developer) is going to be working with me to get the RPM issue with UTI3 resolved. I need to send him some logs and screenshots, and he'll work his magic!

I just sent pics and logs to Jeff to get the bugs norked out of the new UTI3 software. An interesting thing though, I was using my older XP laptop today on my car and noticed that my RPMs reported just perfectly in "dashboard" mode. My AFR, on the other hand, was all f'ed up! it was reporting values of 1.xx-5.xx. it said my AFR at idle was 1.20. when I switched it back into "logger 1" mode, my AFRs went back to normal. Nothing was wrong with my car.......the values were just getting reported wrong to the UTI3.

This is the reason I'm sticking with 2.7... Ver. 2.7 don't work with Utec directly but it does work perfectly if you have a Tuner. What I meant not working with Utec is that it doesn't log IAT and Coolant or Dashboard mode wont work.

version 2.7.5 logs iat and coolant if you tell it too.

you should download and install UTI3 just to try it. the more people we have using it and reporting bugs, the better it will be.
