UTEC 'Upgrade?'
Look what this program did to my desktop.. I have tried everything to get it back to normal with no luck any ideas? black and white bars all the way down my screen

Did you copy all the files to the right location and I assume you did register them just like the install files says right? This is weird but the first time I had some error on the installation so I tried to download it again and decompress it and it finally worked... Try downloading it to a different PC and decompress it somewhere... I know it doesnt make any sense but that worked for me.. also try to login with a different user and see if it work, maybe your user profile is corrupt so it is giving you different problems...

the same error keeps coming up everytime i try to connect it says continue or quit. I have reformated my notebook and reinstaled uti and still the same sometimes it connects but mostly get that error and when it does connect everything works on the dashboard and logger 1 but it glitches and frezzes sometimes. I am using windows XP.

Did you follow the direction carefully to the dot and register the ocx and dll file after copying it to the system32 folder? since you have formated your Laptop arleady I would try it again since you have a clean Laptop now. Trust me you will love UTI if you can make it work.
Never registered it I'll give it another try. Did you get the uti me to work I tried it no luck the screen go's blank for a sec and nothing happens when I try to open logs.

That is why... There is a txt file that come with the 2.7.5 for installation procedure for every OCX and DLL files. You cant just unzip the file and start running the program. Like I said, installation procedure is pretty much a manual process since you have to copy them to the right folder and you have to register the dll's. I have never used the UTI-ME since I usually look at the raw logs when making adjustment. I just use the UTI because of the audible and the auto logging feature (especially the knock count logs). It is also easier to do a spot checking with the matrix table for the A/F, Boost, Timing, IDC..etc... but when I need to make adjustment I still like looking at the raw logs.

Looks like everything is good now. I have been testing the newest UTI for jeffsoftware.com and looks like he has everything worked out. With any luck, the new software will be available for download shortly.
