Good discussions are always good. Aerodynamics are part theory , and theory does not always work , so I can be wrong at times, event the pro's can be. Regardless, a discussion on aero or suspension tuning is a good way for everyone to learn. No need to apologize, especially when kept civil .
Thats what sucks with aerodynamic. Its 90% trial and error and alot of us dont have access to a wind tunnel to test and try our wing position, winglets angle, lip size and see the actual effect.
As long as my car survives a 2 day event at the end of Oct , I will be there. You can even request me as an instructor, I'm quite positive they will let me instruct that weekend.
Just pmed. Definitely interested! You are a lot more knowledgeable then I
Finally got my new wheels and tires on.
TSW Bathurst
F:18x9 30off 255/40
R:18x10.5 27off 275/40
The size has grown on me since I initially saw them installed. I'd probably go 9 all around if I could do it over again, but I'm definately not disappointed.
Thanks. I'm pleased with the set up. I've gone back and forth on lowering my car. Honestly, I was expecting more fender gap than what's there. I only mention going 9 square because the 275s are borderline too stretched (for my taste not safety). As much as I like my v.1 touring wheels, these guys look much better.

Different brand tires will have different amounts of stretch, a Nitto Invo will not look as stretched.
Ok, they are wrapped in BFGoodrich g force now, I'll have to remember Nittos. Props to terra, travlee and spike for pointing me in the right direction several months ago when I was deciding on sizes.

How much wider is noticeably? Im still deciding on a set of tires. And im learning towards the hankook just because theyre not bad for the price. But then again, i was also thinking about the r888 but i hear theyre bad in rain.

I'm thinking of trying the Invo tires for my rear wheels this time. Also, I may get 295/35 instead of sticking with my usual 275/40 sized tires. The wheels are 18x10 +23.

I do, yeah. Granted I've only put a few miles on the car since Monday. But ride and noise levels aren't any worse before. Plus, when I ordered them BFGoodrich was offering a 70$ mail in rebate
